How to unlock the I Like To Be Thorough achievement in Major League Baseball 2K11 - Definitive Guide
A "Cycle" is comprised of one hitter, getting four specific hits: Single, Double, Triple, and Home Run. You can hit them in any order.
It requires having a solid hitter (and preferably a fast player). You need to have a player with both a high contact, and power ability (preferably).
Singles, and Home Runs are actually the easiest to get. Doubles happen quite often. Triples are the rarest. I would advise playing against a team with a weak outfield. The Pirates would be a good place to start.
If you're having trouble hitting for the cycle, turn up the contact & power swings, and Base-Runner speed in the difficulty menu. This should allow you to hit a triple with ease.
If you want to challenge yourself, hit the "Natural" cycle. Hit them in this order: Single, Double, Triple, Home Run.
This is Not obtainable in My Player mode. Thanks to Blue Blazer for the info.

The cycle consists of you getting a Single, Double, Triple and Homerun in a game with one player. Inside the park Homeruns count.
This is a difficult trophy. Getting a Single, Double, or even a Homerun is do-able in a game, but getting a Triple is very rare. I suggest using your Maxed out team (Team 1) against your weak team (Team 2) to make this easier. Play in AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants as the field is huge and has gaps that will help in getting a Triple.
Go after the Triple and Homerun in your first two at bats. If you fail to get a Triple and Homerun in your first two at bats, then quit and try again.
The easiest way is to do this online with a boosting buddy.
