How to unlock the Power Grab achievement in Major League Baseball 2K11 - Definitive Guide
Production and Domination and Power Grab
Please read the whole post and understand exactly what I am describing before you leave feedback.
Stats when I started for reference: 0 RBI’s, 0 k’s, 0 HR
In order to get these three achievements I used 2 controllers.
The achievements WILL NOT unlock while using the controllers…KEEP THIS IN MIND. Start a Play Ball 9 inning game with Your profile as the home team and the other controller as the away team.
Here are the stats you want for this game: (assuming you are starting from 0, adjust accordingly)
-I suggest you score 25 runs and 5 homeruns in one inning. Do this by bunting, the other user controlled team will hold the ball and you can get an inside the park homerun. They count as a homerun, check the gamestats. After you have 5 inside the park homeruns, or while doing this, you can hit the batters to put them on base until its loaded then get grand slams to speed up getting to 25 runs.
-Each inning strike out the second controller, UNTIL THE 9th. In the 9th inning with 2 outs and 2 strikes on the last batter, save and quit the game. Ignore the achievement/whatever message. Save it as exhibition1 or whatever. Exit out.
-Load up: Exhibition1 or whatever you named it and you will be back in the game. (Make sure controller 2 is still on.) Throw one strike and bam….27 K’s 25 Runs, and 15 homeruns. Do this 9 more times and you will have met the requirements for each item on your VIP profile. (If you get more HR’s and RBi’s it can take less reloads.) You just click quit after you see the saving profile icon and go to option/load. Load the game back up and repeat that last strike for 27 more k’s 25 more runs, and 5 more HR’s.
(You can score less HR’s or RBI’s if you want, you just need to reload more. Also, if you get bored trying to make it through 9 innings you could do it on a shorter 3 inning game or so, again its just more reloads as you would only get 9k's.)
-Once you check your profile to see that you either met or surpassed the goal for the achievements, exit out to dashboard and back in to load up a franchise/mlb today 3-inning game. Try to get at least a K and an RBI in the game. (not sure if that matters though Edit: you dont need this, as I got it to pop all 3 without getting anything in the mlb 3 inning game.) When the game finishes and it saves profile again the achievements should pop.
Using this method I got my achievements today in less than 2 hours and I started with 0 in all these. Please leave comments if you think something needs clarification rather than just anon-negative voting me.

"Hope this helps those who are still working on the bat and ball prop or achievements."
Surely that's 2K10, as there's no Avatar Awards in 2K11? This for sure works in 2K11 then?

Yes...I copied it over from my 2k10 and made some edits....but left that in by accident. Yes it works for 2k11. I did it this way. I have not even finished 1 full 9 inning game yet. Check my achievments.

I changed the sliders to Rookie to help me get this. Use power swing all the time for better chances of getting the ball out. A trick I used was to go into Franchise Mode, do the draft where you get 1st 25 picks and take a bunch of sluggers - every batter you pick should crank it out nearly every time.
Confirmed modes you can get home runs to count: MLB Today, Play Ball, Franchise, Postseason
Confirmed modes you CAN'T: Online, Online Leagues, My Player Mode.
Basically you have to get 50 home runs and theses will accumulate and come easy over time.
To track these you can go to the Main Menu > Features > V.I.P Viewer and it will be under the batting tab.
