How to unlock the The Call achievement in Major League Baseball 2K11 - Definitive Guide
Quick way to get called up:
1.) Create a pitcher.
2.) Pick the Pirates as your team.
3.) Go in to settings/sliders and make user pitching/batting all the way up and AI batting completely down.
4.) Play around 5 games and you should get called up (be sure to complete as many in game challenges as possible but the altered difficulty should allow you to throw strikes with little effort. Also remember to adjust the stats to fulfill requirements for call up).
Personal Experience:
That's what I did and it took five games, and I've never played an MLB game besides 2K6. Oh, and my friend who has played just about all MLB games including last years was an outfielder for the Pirates and he played two seasons of minor league, and he has yet to be called up.
Questions/Concerns - PM or comment!
EDIT: It has been brought to my attention by xxGODZ SNIPERxx that this is a great method to obtain the call up achievement but it is quite hard to get the former team home run, and the best bet would be to pick a hitter as your player. Once you have developed him enough you will be able to carry your team too which makes world series a bit easier.

Although this is a great way to do this. If your going for the 1k then choose a batter as an achievement is for getting a HR of a former team.

Okay I know there is an easy solution already but I had some issues trying to get this on my own. Some important things to know to get this achievement:
You MUST complete all of the goals given to you at the start (ex. 65 speed, 60 power right, etc.)
I don't know how this part works, but I finished the season in AA to up my stats and went to pro for spring training and DID NOT get the achievement. So I simmed through all the spring training games and got sent back to AA. My goals all reset but since I had done all but one, I just had to play 10 games and got the call.
This solution is just to help people who think they should be getting it when they get called to spring training. Also the previous solution did not mention the goals.
