How to unlock the Level 20 achievement in Mangavania - Definitive Guide
There are 20 total achievements, one for completing each of the 20 levels, no matter the rank you get.
RANKS
Each rank gets you gems for completing the level: S rank (7 gems), A rank (5 gems), B rank (2 gems), C rank (1 gem).
There is one of two ways that you can do this game.
NORMAL
You can play normally and just do each level and complete it through trial and error. It does not matter what rank you get; you will get the achievement for each completed level. You will need to find a set amount of these little red fire flies to open each level's exit. It will tell you how many you need in the top right corner. It ranges from 2-4. Sometimes you need to find keys also to get to the exit. After you get the flies and/or keys just find the exit to finish the level. You cannot go on to the next level until you beat the previous with any rank.

QUICKER
This way is basically the same as the first but you can make the game very easy for yourself and make the game even quicker just by grinding for 5-10 minutes. If you replay the very first level after you finish it once you will start with the sword ( to use the sword). You can finish the level very very quickly just by walking left from the start, dropping down, breaking the wall to the right, and then just continue to the right as fast as you can to exit the level making sure you destroy the two little red fire flies. With each level completion that you do you'll get seven gems for an S rank and you'll get five gems for an A rank. Each run of the first level should take around 20-30 seconds (dash dependent; see next section on upgrades). You should be able to get an S rank every time but if you do end up getting an A rank you'll still get Gems.
UPGRADES
After you've accumulated 30 gems, you can go to the stage select screen and hit the button to enter the upgrade menu. Each upgrade is 30 gems. There are five total upgrades costing a total of 150 gems. There's one upgrade to get the bow ( shoots the bow; hold longer to shoot further), the dash ( to dash), the double jump ( to jump, then again to double jump), and two upgrades for the hearts. You will end up with a total of five hearts. I recommend getting the dash first, as It will make the replays of Level 1 even faster. You can also do the dash in the air and you can double jump and dash in the same sequence mid-air. Once you have all the upgrades you can blow through the game really quick. You can also do a wall jump without having any upgrades, but you can only do the wall jump on certain walls. You will notice the different look of the ones you can use to wall jump. Once you reach certain levels after level 10, you will need the bow and the dash and the double jump to complete certain levels and levels after those. You're going to need to get the upgrades either way so might as well get them out of the way. I would also advise maybe grinding some extra gems for the respawns. I'll explain more in the "Level 10 & 20" and the "Deaths" section below..
LEVEL 10 & 20
Level 10 and 20 are what's considered boss fights. You can either take the time to learn the patterns of the boss or you can just cheese it. The way to cheese it is just run up to the boss, especially the level 10 boss, and just keep swinging at him. If you die, that's okay; you can just use gems to respawn and the boss's health will stay the same. After you respawn just run up and start hitting the boss again until it's dead. The level 20 boss is a little more difficult because the boss changes positions between two pits and then it hangs on the ceiling in two different places so you have to jump to hit it. Just keep jumping and hitting it, and shoot it with your bow when it's on the ground in the pits, and again if you die just use gems to respawn and the boss's health will stay the same so just keep hitting it until it's dead. After you kill the level 20 boss, that's it; you'll get the final achievement.
KEYS AND DEATHS
Some levels also have optional keys that you can get to find a little hidden secret room that will give you extra gems or keys to find the exit in the level as well. You can also use gems if you want to restart in a level from a checkpoint if you die, or you can restart the whole level without using gems. There are little torches that will light when you walk past them. Those are the checkpoints. If you die, you will start at the last one that you lit, not the furthest in the level. Your first death is 1 gem and it increases with each death. I tested and died 10 times and it increased one gem with each death up to 11. I didn't go any further past that. Again it does not matter what rank you get you'll get one achievement for each level you complete for the each of the 20 levels.
