Manor Lords

You need to start a New Game. I just tried to conquer another region and build the city there, but to no avail. I only received the achievement when completing what was requested in another new save.

• New Game -> Continue -> Rise to prosperity -> Relaxing

This seems to be the easiest way to complete this achievement, as you won't have to deal with bandits or form an army. I would just tell you to restart the game until you have an area with a "Rich Deposit" of Iron or Clay. This way you can get more resources from the Trading Post.

I got the achievement by having more than 50 months of food in stock thanks to this video:


Build "Burgage Plots" with a planting area equivalent to 5x or more the size of the house and plant vegetables. Manage your firewood, use the Trading Post well and you won't have any problems after the first 2 winters.
