How to unlock the A Force To Be Reckoned With achievement in Marooners - Definitive Guide

If you don't have a boosting partner, can't find one or just want to do this at your own pace in your own time you can actually do this solo with a bot.

Select online game you can do arena of party (i did party as it helps you also work towards the 25k points achievement). Set switch mode to linear. Set match to friends and set local players 1.

This method is slower than boosting wins with a partner as you have to play the entirety of the match getting more points than the bot. However the bot isn't that smart and does very poorly. With this method i got all my online wins done without a partner in about 4 hours.

If you want to make sure your wins are counting towards online wins go into statistics on the main menu and the first tab tells you how many wins you have.

Trying to do the solo online matches with a bot, but it just says connecting... Indefinitely. Tried different servers, arena and party. Always connecting. So much for an easy completion.

Worth noting I got this achievement playing the 'offline' game mode. I didn't get credit for the play 50, bit they counted as wins for this one (Got it going for the 50 offline games achievement).

I can confirm what Elyoh said, it is counting as wins but not games played. So I think the smartest move would be to play true online games until you get the play 50 achievement and then earn whatever remaining wins you need using this method.

Please read the whole thing for the two variations to this method.

If for whatever reason you'd like to farm this faster (even faster than having your boosting partner commit suicide on each map) just play ARENA with a boosting partner (no bots) and haver boosting partner press the start button and select "quit" from their start menu. Doing that will take them out of their game (obviously) but will leave you in scrolling through each map a lot quicker than if they stayed in the game committing suicide, while automatically making you the winner at the end of the round.

Just keep sending your boosting partner an invite and quitting the game once it starts. If you're curious if this has been patches in the future, just try this method, then go to the main menu, and see if the online victories are increasing or not.


Method 2 (I wish I had figured this one before I got this achievement)
IF you're interested in also working towards the "money" achievements choose PARTY instead of arena, it will be slightly slower, but if you follow the sameethod, you'd be able to grab the bonus pot for pretty much each match, building "money" while farming this achievement.

You can track your "money" in the main menu, under statistics.

I think this might be glitched I have 60 online wins and it still hasn't popped, tried dashboarding and going back in several times that hasn't worked yet, I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and that didn't work WTF

The 2 other solutions are great, but this is a much faster solution. Wins on LOCAL will also count for this. Just go up against the A.I. Which is relatively easy to win against. This is much easier than winning online

Well in your statustics it shall say "online wins"this number will go up for every match you play no matter the mode. If not, there is a glitch where it shows your progress that you made on the last session deleted. It does save it to the cloud though. For example, i got mine at 45 showed wins, but i actually got 50 wins.

Definitely it doesnt work with (only) another controller, neither online nor with friends nor offline, I tried everything. You need a bot or a second xbox.

You do not need a bot or second console. Are you saying that online wins are not even counting for you? if that is so, then there is something wrong with the game. I personally did it when using the AI, and just won against them over and over, so I can confirm that works. That being said, I am also pretty sure that any win in any mode will count. sorry for the confusion.

sorry dude but it does not work with a second controller. If you personally did it another way, you shouldn't describe an answer in another way you haven't tested. I was really hoping you were right.

if you vs a bot on local it does count as an online win, you are right about that. So I am thumbs up, assuming you update the solution to need a bot, doesn't work with just another controller.

I just unlocked the 5 online wins achievement by playing offline vs. 1 bot so I can see that this will no doubt work

A recent update for the game has made this so both online and offline games count towards this trophy.

Arena or Party mode both count, so you want to play whichever one you're more comfortable with (personally I recommend doing Party Mode so you can work on the power-up/point related trophies at the same time).

It is possible to boost this. You will need to match in a lobby initially, but there are not very many people who play this game, so you shouldn't have any trouble matching. Once you're in a lobby, you will remain in one together until one of you manually leaves.

Once you have won your 50th game, the trophy will unlock.

You will need to win online matches. You can either trade wins with a boosting party or simply defeat your opponents. The game is not that difficult and should come without a lot of struggle.
