How to unlock the Fully Loaded achievement in Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign - Definitive Guide

The best place to grind covers is the 1st level called "The Bench" You will be fighting 2 lvl 1 thug.
Every time you win you have a chance of winning a cover which will boosts a specific skills for a specific character.
I played the game until I got around to lvl 50, by that time I could win my doing 1 move if it cascaded the longest match I had was 3 turns, the loading screens go by quickly making this the best spot to grind them.
There is no way to know which cover you will get it is random.

To unlock the achievement you need to get 15 for the same character so you need to get 3 skills maxed up on 1 character. If the character only has 2 skills it will not unlock the achievement.

Since the acquisition of the covers is random, having a smaller amount of characters will make it less grindy.

Edit: On second playthrough I started grinding this while my main team was lvl 20 (minimum amounts of characters) and got the achievement in around 1-2hours, went from lvl 20 to 47 with my 3 main characters while grinding this achievement which will make the game go by a bit quicker.

My teams 1st and 2nd playthrough:

P.S. while grinding this achievement on both playthrough I also got these 2 achievements:
Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark ReignWaterfallThe Waterfall achievement in Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign worth 181 pointsGet a 9 chain combo.

Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark ReignThe OchoThe The Ocho achievement in Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign worth 133 pointsMatch an eight of a kind.

The game seems to favor leveling every character before actually maxing one out. I started with the base 11 characters and never progressed past the first level. I got 9 of 11 of them to have 5/4 or 5/5/4 for their stats before the game even gave me one character at 5/5 (not even giving me the achievement).

glad I saw this before getting too far into the game. Good idea to grind it first with fewer characters. +1

Definitely do it before you unlock a bunch of people. I unlocked everyone and beat every level without getting this, and I have replayed the first level 100+ times so far without getting 15 for one character -_____- facepalm

Right there with you :( I'm playing through the Hulk and Deadpool campaigns working on the covers just so it's not the same level over and over. Interesting stories too.

I've been at 14/15 covers for Wolverine since about chapter 4 and that last one just won't drop angry

Might be a stupid question but how can you track how many covers you are on?

"To unlock the achievement you need to get 15 for the same character so you need to get 3 skills maxed up on 1 character."
A skill goes up to rank 5 if all your skills are rank 5 you should have the achievement (if that character has 3 skills), you see the skills next to each character in specifics color for each character. In the character selection page.

@uSound it did the exact same thing as you for my friend but when I did it I got Spiderman 5/5/5 and my hawkeye was 2/1 and had a bunch with very little covers, seems to be different for many different people.

An update on this as I finally sat down to grind out this achievement (after a lot of procrastinating). ADVICE - GOOD GOD DO THIS FIRST OR IT WILL SUCK OUT YOUR SOUL.

I now agree with what uSound posted above, the game is definitely favoring balancing out covers, or at least is weighted in that direction. Some stats:

There are a total of 760 possible covers to collect across the 54 characters in the game. Of those characters, 10 only get 10 covers meaning there are useless to us for this achievement and really get on my nerves. When the achievement finally popped for me I only had 80 possible covers left to get, or an average of only 1.48 covers remaining per character!!! angry I actually had 17 characters at 14/15 covers and all but two of the 10ers were at 10/10. angry

Some time estimates based on the last 120 covers I earned (when I was tracking data):

It took me 105 minutes to earn those 120 covers, or an average of 1.14 cover per minute. During that time I completed 171 matches, or approximately 37 seconds per match. 120 covers over the 171 matches means I was earning a cover approximately 70% of the time on match completion.

I didn't track the entire time I was grinding, or how many possible covers remained when I started grinding (sorry), but to give you an idea of how long it took; I got Spidey from level 1 to level 77 solely on the xp from winning "The Bench" level over and over, getting anywhere between 100 and 410xp per match depending on how crazy the chain went.

IF you are smart enough to do this at the start of the game there are only 10 (11?) characters open in your roster, 2 of which are 10ers. Meaning the max number of covers is only 140 (155?) and at absolute worst you could have to grind out 133 (147?) before the game would have no choice but to give you a 15th. While this might take an hour or two, it's a hell of a lot better than the hundreds of covers you would need to grind if you leave it until the end.

Be forewarned all.

Is it just me or do you sometimes not get a cover for winning?

It is not 100% chance to get a cover, sometimes I've gotten 5 wins with no cover, sucks but just grind it early it will save you tons of grinding.

I am doing it early after reading the solution, only have the base 11 characters unlocked so I am going to knock it out before going any further. I'm doing The Bench and winning in 1 turn more or less and then I skip through the dialogue and exp screen but sometimes I noticed it took me right back to the map without seeing a cover. I was just trying to confirm if I was skipping past it or just not getting one as I assumed it was guaranteed. Either way thanks for the speedy response, this achievement is really boring and I couldn't imagine doing it with a fully unlocked board T_T

Also these covers will make you feel overpowered for the rest of the game so enjoy :)

I realize it is buried in the wall of text I posted above but the cover drop rate over a large sample I recorded worked out to ~70%. So you will not always get a cover upon winning but will a majority of the time.

Let me know why you are leaving negative feedback I've done this twice and might be able to help you with problems, although it is none of my problem if you are further in the game and have to grind this for hours on end, to you I would say just restart the game and grind it early on should be less painful that way.
Cheers ;)

In game, is there any way to track this? Or the old pen and notebook to keep track.

For people who are saying you don't get a cover everytime, the trick to getting a cover every time is to switch levels. If you do the same level repeatedly it doesn't give a cover everytime. You need to alternate between two levels with level 1 enwmies

I have two characters with 15 covers unlocked and the achievement has not popped. Has anyone else had this issue?

@TREADSTONEkia sorry to hear that brother, usually a uninstall and reinstall in other games fixes this if you haven't tried that, might be worth giving it a go

There is so much RNG for this achievement I don't think you should play past unlocking Juggernaut. It is not possible for you to unlock covers for a character you have not unlocked. You should be using Juggernaut because of how powerful he is, so why not unlock him with chances of getting him upgraded powers?

This guide is just to clarify what this achievement entails in case you're confused.

This achievement wants you to max out a character's 3 powers.

The "covers" are just power points, but other games would call them skill points or ability points. The 15 "covers" you are to collect are NOT collectibles like in other games. There are no 15 different comic book art covers for one character. Every cover you see at the end of a match equals 1 power point for a random character.

As you play the game your characters will level up and reveal new powers. Every character has either 2 or 3 powers. When you are selecting your 3 characters you can see each of their powers by pressing Y (Info). Each power can be upgraded up to 5 times max with a "cover."For example, Black Widow only has 2 powers Aggressive Recon and Widow's Sting whereas Spiderman has 3 powers Web Bandages, All Tied Up, and Spider-Sense. The achievement requires you to have a character with 3 powers.

The grind comes from getting 15 power points to go to just one character which is why it's best to do this achievement early on when you only have a few characters in the character select screen.

This is very luck-based but can be gotten with time. Go for this one early or else you will be playing this game longer than you need to. Fewer characters are unlocked at the start so the covers you get will be only for them. The more characters you unlock by playing the story, the more spread out the covers you earn will be. You're also not guaranteed a cover after every battle which adds to the playtime.

For farming covers, I recommend the battles called "Goldilocks" or "Stop" in the "Juggernaut" mission of the "H.A.M.M.E.R." chapter. I recommend them because they has the least amount of things to skip and only 1 enemy which means you can win in 1-5 moves. Use a high level team (lvl 200+) that covers the rainbow and you’ll simply win with match damage. If you have low level characters at the time, just go with your best.

Glitch note:

This glitched on me in a good way on the PS3 version. I obtained 10 covers for Juggernaut and the trophy unlocked! I can definitely say that you should farm covers early on for at least a little bit to speed up your 100% completion time. For the PS4 version, I did get 10 covers for a couple characters with only two skills but didn't unlock the trophy. Due this, I can confirm that, for me at least, the beneficial glitch only works on the PS3 version.

This is possibly the last achievement you'll unlock. Collect the maximum of five covers for each of the three color powers of any single character (that of course can have three). Power covers are given as random rewards for completing a battle, with only a rare chance no cover will be given. If by the end of going through the story mode you haven't snagged this achievement, go back to the H.A.M.M.E.R. chapter and it's first stage, replay the fights there and you should soon enough grind through for the final cover(s) you need.
