Titles are earned a variety of ways:

Miscellaneous:

1 - Unlocked at the Start of the Game
16 - for completing all chapters of Story Mode
1 - For Completing All Missions
3 - Fighting 5 Hours, 10 hours and 100 Hours of Battle

Character Specific:

1 - Completing Arcade Mode with a Specific Character (Everyone has one)
1 - For Completing all a characters Mission Mode Challenges
1 - For Using a Character 10 Times in your team in Ranked Matches
1 - For Winning with a Character in your team 20 Times in Ranked Matches

This means each character can get 4.

Online:

21 - Winning 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000 matches in Online Mode (Ranked or Public/Private)
2 - 50 and 200 Hyper Combo Finishes
2 - 1 and 10 Chip Damage Finishes in Online Mode
2 - 10 and 20 Time Out Wins in Online Mode
2 - 50 and 200 First Attacks in Online Mode
2 - 1 and 10 Successful Air Combo Moves
2 - Use Active Switch to change characters 10 and 20 times
2 - 30 and 100 Counter Hits in Online Mode
2 - 10 and 50 Advancing Guards in Online Mode
2 - 10 and 50 Infinity Surges in Online Mode
2 - 1 and 10 Infinity Storm and Win in Online Mode
1 - 5 Battle Win Streak in Ranked Online Mode
1 - Perfect Victory in Online Mode

So in total there's 101 Titles to Earn. You get 1 Off the bat, 16 for beating story (putting you to 17) and beating arcade mode with every character is another 30 (totalling for 47). Easieast way to go about this is just do these and then playing Ranked Matches with a few characters for the last 3.
