How to unlock the Hero in Training achievement in MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE - Definitive Guide

In order for your "picks" to count you must complete a full match with your chosen two characters, this will come naturally if you are going towards the "Full Roster" achievement.
But for those looking for a quicker way of obtaining the achievement, simply change characters every match after acquiring your win of course, to do this press
once the match begins and choose Character Select (remember to change difficulty as well if playing on an easier difficulty) there are 7 matches which if using the switch characters method for every single match from start to finish you will have used 14 of the 30 characters in the default roster. Doing a second run with the same method will land you 28 of 30.
Only two left, you get.
As of right now the DLC characters do not count towards the achievement what so ever. However they maybe in the future when a complete version of the game is announced. like MVCU and SF4 did. I will update this if so.

I can confirm that you don’t need to win the match as long as you complete it

In order to unlock this trophy, you will need to start up arcade mode with all 30 characters in the game's roster. Keep in mind whether you win or lose a match, or clear arcade mode with the character(s) you are using does not matter for this trophy as long as you have started it with that character, you will also unlock this naturally when going for the the "Full Roster" trophy.
