An Active Switch just means swapping your characters, so this achievement requires you to do a switch during a combo.
Easiest way to do this is start an auto combo with light punches (
) then immediately switch (
) and continue the combo.
Assuming your first hit lands, the whole string will look something like this:

In order to unlock this trophy, you will need to perform at least 20 combos that include an Active Switch, which can be activated by pressing 
, at one point while the combo is ongoing. Using this mechanic during a combo will allow the player to extend it by switching characters in between, allowing them to create unique setups that they cannot do normally.
You can easily earn this by doing a three hit combo, then use active switch by pressing to switch to your second character and continue the combo or end it from there.
