How to unlock the Treasure Hunter achievement in Mask of Mists - Definitive Guide

One of the items you purchase from the Leprechaun (required for Trader) will be Old Map #1, which shows you the location of some treasure that you need to dig up. The location is near the ruins where you pick up Mask #4 (see Full set). Before you can complete Dungeon 2, you’ll need to exit out a side entrance/exit so you can create an anti-rust potion. When you exit the Dungeon, just to the left will be a set of ruins (this is where that mask is located). Make your way up the hill just to the immediate right of the ruins and you'll come to a gate with a house inside.
Just to the right of the house will be a tree with a small Cabbage farm just in front of it. Next to the tree will be a spot on the ground that you can interact with and use the shovel to dig. Do so and you'll dig up a chest with an Improved Pistol inside. Dig it up and as soon as you do, the trophy will unlock.
To actually equip your new Pistol (if you already have the standard one), hit
then select it in your inventory. If you don't already have the standard Pistol, you'll automatically equip this one. 
will fire the Pistol should you need to use it.
