How to unlock the True Detective achievement in Mask of Mists - Definitive Guide

Missable.
You'll need to have (x6) pieces of Brushwood on you to get this trophy (Brushwood is scattered throughout the open world and looks like the brown branchy-like bushes). While making your way through the second Dungeon, you’ll need to exit out a side entrance/exit before you can complete it (so you can make an anti-rust potion). When you exit out, there will be a set of ruins immediately on the left. Just to the right of these will be a hill leading up to a gate and a building inside of it. When you have the required pieces of Brushwood, make your way inside the building.
Go into the room on the left and break the crates, then pickup the "Bedroom key" on the wall. Use the key on the bedroom door (directly across from the front door) and there will be a note on a table regarding having some owl statues facing each other. Head into the room with the fireplace and interact with it to light the fire with the Brushwood. There are two owl statues in this same room. Turn them so they are facing each other and on the other side of the room, a bookshelf will move, revealing a secret area. When it opens, the trophy will unlock.
Inside the Cache is the Steel Sword, which is a small improvement from the initial sword you picked up at the start of the game. To equip it, press
and select it in your inventory.
