How to unlock the Focused achievement in Mass Effect 3 - Definitive Guide

The fastest way to get this is to import a ME2 savegame.

You will start at the level You finished previous part of the game.
A couple of powers will already be evolved and additional points will be granted so basically You can get this as Your first cheevo in ME3, right after You get control of Shepard in the prologue.

I don't know how many stat points we get per level of ME2 character imported, but my Shepard was Lv30 in ME2 and I got 20 stat points and it only costs 11 points to level up one of your already nearly full powers in ME3.

Anyway, I just wanted to point that out in case anyone reads your solution and wonders about it. No need for me to make another solution. Thumb up for beating me to it haha.

Well, thumb up for beating me to the solution and, most importantly, offering good, valid info!

After reading all of these solutions, it was unclear whether or not this would be attainable naturally... perhaps they changed the rate of XP gain in a recent patch or something. I had no problem getting multiple traits leveled up completely in a thorough playthrough with no import.

Also you should add that if they didnt have an imported save from ME 2 the next fastest way is in multiplayer. After you buy your first couple boxes either with credits or MSP you should unlock some new caracters that will already be from level 2-5 depending on which boxes you get (Recruit, Veteran or Spectre). Which will almost get you there then either play with that character or like me get another box with that same class and that put me up to level 8. Then spend your points and Achievement Unlocked.

You can get this achievement as Rayearth stated with a ME2 Import.

However, if you do not (yet!) have an ME2 Import like me (don't worry I played ME2 on the pc):

Now what I recommend is that you play the game as usual, give stat points to skills you want to use in combat.
To get a rank 6 on a power you will need 21 skill points, that means you have to reach at least level 10 to do that.

Now when you get back to the Normandy at any time, just take a walk to the "MEDICAL".
There is a console that allows you to "REASSIGN POWERS", with every use the price will rise.
If you never used that console/option: first try is for free.

So what you basically do, after meeting the conditions for being able to get a rank 6 is:

- stand in front of the console
- save your game
- reset your power/skill stats
- level up a skill to level 6
- achievement pops
- reload old save
- play as usual.

PS.: This is just a solution to get the achievement asap, but MASS EFFECT 3 is awesome, so just enjoy the game and you will get this achievement anyway during usual progress through story mode :)

This is how I got the achievement, and I got to spend my points on whatever i wanted. You just need to get one power fully upgraded.

The absolute easiest way to get this achievement is to load a character from ME2 or 1. Spend all of your points on one power(doesn't matter which one it is). You need 21 points to get to the highest level. Once you level one of the powers up fully, the achievement should unlock right there. If you want to spend your points on other powers, press Y to undo the upgrades. Your points should be returned to you, and you'll have the achievement.

If you DON'T have an imported character, or if you've spent all of your points on different upgrades, you can still get the achievement by going to the Normandy and resetting your points in the Medical Bay. I'd recommend saving here, but its entirely up to you. Go into the Medical Bay and reset your points. As long as you have 21 points, you can fully level up one power. At this point, the achievement should unlock. Either press Y to undo and spend your points on other things, or you can just load the save from earlier.

If you need any help, leave a comment, I'll try to update this and help anyone who needs it.

There are a total of 6 ranks for each power that you have. Each rank costs as many points = to the value of rank. Rank 1 costs 1 point, Rank 2 costs 2 points, etc. Therefore, you will need a total of 21 points to rank a power up completely. You should be able to get this easily while playing through the game. To get to this menu, press  and go to "Squad." Highlight the power of choice and press . Now you will be put into a menu with the stats of the powers and what each upgrade will do for you. If you mess up, you can press  to undo the upgrade. Be aware, if you leave the menu after upgrading, you will no longer have the undo option.

Imported Character: If you imported your character and beat Mass Effect 2, likely you will be a level 30 already and have points to spend. As soon as you can move you may upgrade and get to rank 6 on a power if it's close. This could very well be your first achievement.

Each class has different powers to upgrade. Taking any of them to rank 6 means maxing that power out. With each level that you rank up, you will earn more points to put to upgrades. Maxing out a power requires 21 upgrade points (1 point for rank 1, 2 for rank 2, etc.).

If you import a level 30 character from Mass Effect 2, you will begin with 59 upgrade points since you start at level 30, so at your first opportunity, rank up any of Shepard’s powers to 6.

The name speaks for itself, you can get it at the very beginning if you are porting a character from part 2, but if not, then you will need to spend 21 skill points.
