How to unlock the Bruiser achievement in Mass Effect 3 - Definitive Guide
Multiplayer:
If you would like this sooner rather then later, multiplayer is your best bet. You do basically the same thing and just run around using your charge melee attack. The best of the 3 enemy types to fight are the Reapers. Cannibals hardly shoot or even move on Bronze difficulty. I went around 1 hitting them without being spec'd into any melee enhancements.
Cheers
i was playing multiplayer just for the lulz and the overload achievement, when in one of my veteran packs i got the asari vanguard
i tried it out, put some points into biotic charge (it makes you invulnerable for a short period) and the rest into fitness (more melee damage)
turns out, this character has a very powerful area effect melee
so i just kept playing using only "Y" (biotic charge) and then the charged "B" for the area melee
i got around 50 melee kills before we reached wave 10! specially if the enemy is reaper, with all those small swarmers in the later waves

Lift 100 enemies off the ground with powers.
Overload the shields of 100 enemies.
Kill 100 enemies with melee attacks.
Perform any combination of 50 biotic combos or tech bursts
Kill 10 guardians with headshots from the front while their shields are raised
Set 100 enemies on fire with powers
i did 3 already using the combat simulator and they counted.
so if yo are missing some of like me dident got the 10 headshort in the rest of the game you can get them there also.
yust put it on easy only you so your teammates dont get the kill and keep playing the level till you get the achievements you want

Sometimes, you get the melee animation, but then your shields drop. In those instances, I think the swarmers have detonated on you rather than have been killed in melee. The timing can be pretty finicky.
To perform a melee attack, press . You will learn this attack early on in the game and if you want, you can even level up the power "fitness" which helps with melee damage. Holding will give you a heavy attack. The most useful melee attack will be when you are in cover and an enemy is on the other side of the barrier . In most cases, if you hold when there is an indicating arrow, you will do an instant kill. I found the easiest enemies to kill were the Husks. They also only melee, and there are always plenty of them when they attack.
Note: Even after dying, the ones you have obtained count. They count across all playthroughs as well as multiplayer (which you can play by yourself).
Bumping the difficulty down to narrative makes this a breeze if you feel a need to grind this out.
Run up to an enemy and push to melee kill them. Melee attacks don’t do very much damage, so you will have to hit them multiple times for them to die. You can also use the heavy melee (hold ) to do more damage and kill them quicker. Repeat for 100 enemies. You’ll easily get this over the course of the game. All playthroughs add to your total number of melee kills. Also, if you die after performing a melee kill, that will count as well.
