Terraformer

Increase a discovered planet to 100% viability.

How to unlock the Terraformer achievement in Mass Effect: Andromeda - Definitive Guide

The first planet you encounter, Eos is very easy to get to 100% once you complete the main mission on the planet and complete the priority mission that immediately follows to recruit the 6th follower.

The main mission you have to complete in order to setup a settlement nets 50% of the viability.

Another 30% can be gotten by completing 3 side missions which include solving the earthquake problem, destroying the Kett stronghold and discovering the research project on the planet at settlement 2.

You also get viability by setting up forward outposts, with each one netting you 2% viability for simply finding them. I believe Eos has 6-7 for another 14% viability.

In order to finish 100%ing Eos simply complete 3 other side missions that net 2% viability each getting you to 100%. Thankfully there are more than 3 side missions on the planet that give you viability making this rounding out process much easier.

So what's your solution for the Radiation that is preventing me from the rest of the map and where do I get these Earthquake and Kett Stronghold side quests?

The Earthquake and Kett Strongold side quests open up after you travel to Aya as part of the main mission to recruit the 6th follower. After you get him the radiation on the entire planet clears up.

No joke about "thankfully there are more than 3 side missions." I'm playing on Insanity and have barely left the planet; the earthquake quest and Kett Stronghold quests both culminate with enemies I can't defeat at my current level. I still have Eos at 100%, having done all the other side quests that are mostly far easier.

Also note, if you try to get this right after getting to Eos, the achievement will not unlock until after you have at least one forward stations on Havarl. I had 100 viability on Eos but it didnt unlock until after I got the first forward station in Havarl

You can get this without the earthquake quest, you will need the kett stronghold though. That's also a good area to rack up some kills for the terminator achievement.

Thanks for that Stevo cos Eos seemed like a pain in the balls to me to get 100%. I was sick and tired of that planet by the time the main mission was done and it's a jerk of a planet to have to drive around. Half the time the map doesn't load topography correctly and it's all just a bag of wankery so im glad to hear there's a better option.

You get the earthquake side quest in Prodromos and you can get the Kett stronghold sidequest in the dunes north of Prodromos or by simply clearing the stronghold which is located on the ridge north of Prodromos as well.

I tried going back to Eos after recruiting the 6th companion on Aya and the radiation was still there. You have to at least progress with either the Havarl or Voeld quest you get on Aya before the radiation clears.

Personally I found Havarl quickest to get 100%. After the main 'Helping the Scientists' quest picking up and completing the 'Dying Planet' quest boosted the viability significantly. There's a couple of minor side quests that you do on your way through these 2 bigger quests, coupled with how quickly you can reach each forward station, you can boost the viability sky high in no time. Once you've done that you leave the planet, get an email asking you to return, go back and speak to someone and you get another huge boost to 100%. Much quicker and easier than going through all the conditions to raise viability on Eos (huge battles, long fetch quests, waiting for radiation to clear, etc).

The easiest and first place that you can get this, is on the first planet that you visit, Eos.

Following the main story mission, A Better Beginning and completing it by activating the Remnant Vault, will net you 50% viability to the planet.

To get the other 50%, you need to do side missions and setting up forward outposts.
Each side mission is worth 10% viability and each forward outpost is worth 2%

Side Missions that you can complete include:
The Secret Project - Started by finding the datapad at Site 1, when you first land on Eos
Shock Treatment - Started from your settlement, Prodromos
Making an Impression - Started after you have left Eos, obtained your 6th squad member and then returned again after the atmosphere has completely cleared out. Given out by Hanely in Prodromos
Defeating the Kett - Started after you have left Eos, obtained your 6th squad member and then returned again after the atmosphere has completely cleared out. You can also start this by finding the Kett stronghold on the western side of the map and attacking it.

There are other side missions that do become available, but these are the main ones. Doing a combination of these plus the forward outposts will net you the 100% planet viability.

Full 100% prospects can only be obtained if you have completely cleared the planet of radiation.
What needs to be done in order (using Eos as an example):
- build an outpost and capture points with shuttles (will be approximately 50%)
- after this, additional quests appear on the planet (try to complete them all, since prospect points are needed not only for the planet, but also for improving the Nexus)
-also, quests for Eos will be issued on the Nexus (there is no point in listing them, they are short)
It will be approximately 75-80%
Then a pause (since level 3 radiation has not yet passed)
You move along the plot until about the Ray of Hope quest (find a new planet to settle) and visit the Nexus more often.
After you are given a quest from a journalist to place a station on Eos, Signal Boost (given on the Nexus in the command center) - you can assume that there is no radiation on the planet.
Explore the remaining points and complete the quest Make an Impression (the quest is given on Eos) , after the 3rd installed hammer - the Architect of Relics appears - after killing him and activating him - you will most likely have 100%. ( be careful , the boss is stronger than ordinary relics and you won’t be able to kill him without good equipment)
If you still don't have 100%, continue doing mini-side quests, or capture the Kett base on Eos.

Received on the planet Havarla.
This turned out to be much faster than on the first planet (Eos). There is no radiation and no need to create an outpost. There are also a minimum of side quests.
We get to this planet by completing a side mission to find scientists, which we get on the second (after Eos) planet while moving along the story mission “Ray of Hope”.
Whoever knocks out platinum will definitely not pass by this planet, because... There are three glyphs on it for decoding.
