How to unlock the All Clear achievement in Mass Effect: Andromeda - Definitive Guide

The required planets for this are:

Eos
Voeld
Havarl
Kadara
Elaaden

Getting 100% is pretty easy and does not require all side missions to be completed. Just getting the vault, outpost and forward stations will get you to 70+%. Then killing the architect (Havarl doesn't have one) should get you over 80, a few side missions later and you're done.

Special Note: On Elaaden, choosing to keep the drive core from the Krogen and not having an outpost will still net you 10% in viability, making you still able to 100%. However, you will lose access to the architect side mission.

Why is this marked as missable? Can you not go back during free roam and get all of these planets to 100%? Is there something special you have to do during a mission or something that you won't be able to go back and do later? I' not finished with my first playthrough of the game yet, that's why I'm asking to make sure...

Im not sure how the missable tag works, maybe its jus cuz you can beat the game without getting all 5 to 100%. But you can go back after the story, and there is nothing you cant go back and do later. I actually beat the story without even landing on 2 planets, went back later no problem.

From what I've seen so far most side quests net 2% towards viability.

besides the achievement what else are you suppose to get? Because I got the achievement on Kadara and than I went over to shuttle port and got crushed by a space ship landing on new outpost. I hope I didn't fuck up that last part of that mission??

The "missable" tag means that it might not unlock during your normal playthrough and in order to get it, you'd have to start a new playthrough. Usually pertains to story mode achievements in games that don't have Chapter Select or free roam options.

I did not unlock this my first time through, despite all planets at 100% and confirmed in the menus and on the computer on the Tempest. Worked after reloading a save from the day before.

A good guide would list all required tasks by name and location. This guide was not helpful at all.

Can you do this after the main story?

Unfortunately not the most helpful guide.
I'm at 89% on Hararl and seems like I've done everything.
Unless more missions come up later on in game

To make a planet completely viable to live on, you will need to perform certain actions that will increase this number. You will need to max out five planets: Eos, Voeld, Havarl, Kadara, Elaaden. The following actions will increase a planet's viability:

  • Remnant Vaults (50%): These are the game's main story dungeons that fix the climate on each planet.
  • Outpost (20%): Each planet will have an area to establish a base, marked on the map.
  • Defeat Architect (10%): Large bosses on each planet (except Havarl).
  • Secondary Ops (2-5% each): These are short side-quests.
  • Forward Station (2% each): These are resupply pods called in when you go to their location on the map.

You will likely not be able to bring a planet to 100% right away without moving on to the next part of the story, but just follow along with the links I provided above and complete Secondary Ops/Tasks until none are left, then return after the next story mission and more should pop up. It is entirely possible to get each planet to 100% without fighting the Architect, which is a blessing on Insanity difficulty. At the same time, you can do this after the story is complete, so you could unlock the "Unwavering" achievement and then turn the difficulty down to tackle the Architects if you still need some points toward maxing the viability.

In order to earn this trophy, you have to increase the viability of the 5 planets you visit in single player.

The 5 Planets are:

1. Eos
2. Havarl
3. Voeld
4. Kadara
5. Elaaden

You can increase viability by completing Planet specific side missions called Heleus Assignments. Also deploying all Forward Stations (checkpoints and fast travel points) on the planet increases the viability quite a bit. You do not have to go out of your way to unlock Forward Stations as they are marked on you map. Just approach their location, and they will automatically unlock.

You are given Heleus Assignment for each planet, but sometimes that may not be all the missions needed to increase the viability. In this situation, you need to walk/drive around to discover new quests that you can accept. You'll want to focus on finishing the 3 Remnant Monoliths, and then finish activating the resulting Remnant vault. This will clear the atmosphere a bit and will allow you to travel to new locations without too much degradation to your life support now.

You can accept quests from NPC's that are marked with the Hexagon icon with an exclamation mark in the middle. Finishing most of these planetary missions should push the viability to 100%. If not, then uncover the entire map, and make sure to do all the side missions on that specific planet.
