How to unlock the Long-Distance Jump achievement in Mass Effect: Andromeda - Definitive Guide
From the point you start in the Mako, follow the trail and up the hill it takes you then take a left and you will see a S.A.M. Memory as a green flashing orb, this is where we will jump from and get an easy 30m.
You will need to position yourself how I did in my video or how Pyx did in his video, get a running start then boost jump off the cliff at the last second and boost dash while in mid air to give yourself some distance. Sometimes you'll land it, sometimes it'll just black you out and send you back up to the top. I have tested it across 3 accounts and have unlocked it the same way every single time so it will unlock.
Here are 2 guides showcasing the areas where we both did it:
As you can see in my video I bounced off a rock, however the rock is not needed and if you land next to it you will unlock it.
As you can see in Pyx's video, he landed just before the game kicked him back up to the mountain ridge.
Any questions please let me know and any negative vites, please leave a reason.
Use the biotic propulsion as your jump set. That way you'll have a little gain both in height and distance. There are two profiles with biotic propulsion: Biotic (what a surprise!) and Explorer. Select one of those.
All you need to do is find a cliff significantly high in any planet. Yes, you don't need to go to a specific planet, just have to find a good cliff. Just run to the edge, jump and dash forward.
Now, the key point is timing your jump and dash forward to attain enough distance...
The important part: when you press the button, you need to press and hold it all the way during the jump. Don't tap it. Doing that will reduce significantly the distance of your jump. You also have to wait a little while before pressing to dash. Wait Rider starts to fall and immediatly dash forward, pressing and holding .
There's an alternative way for gaining speed before the jump. You can dash, jump and dash again. But it will make it more difficult as you can easily lose the edge of the cliff, falling down directly without even jump...
There's a little delay before the achievement unlocking. It may take up to 5 or 6 seconds...
I did it myself in a cliff next to the settlement on Voeld, but I know others who did it on Elaaden and even Havarl...
Below is a video from PowerPyx showing you exactly where and how to do this:

After multiple attempts in multiple locations I finally managed it.
All I changed was my Profile to Adept, so you use biotic jump and evade. I did one jump on Eos with the new profile and the trophy popped on the first attempt.
This trophy can only be earned in single player.
This trophy can be earned from any high mountainous area on the planets Eos, Voeld, Kadara, and Elaaden. To earn this trophy, run and jump off the edge of a high area in any of these planets and boost forward. You do not need to land safely on the ground; as you jump from a really high place the screen fades to black and you spawn back where you jumped from. Make sure to have a running start to get forward momentum on the jump and then boost forward.
Long-Distance Jump Video Guide:
This one is a bit hard to explain, but basically you want to jump off a tall cliff holding forward and then use the dodge-dash with your jetpack to gain some speed and distance. You can do this right after getting the Nomad. It is best to watch this video for a good location and method to obtain this.

This is not the only point where you can get the achievement. You can find many others on the Internet.
