How to unlock the Craftsmanship achievement in Mass Effect: Andromeda - Definitive Guide

You get a quest if you go back to eos after moving the story on a bit to Aya. Go to the settlement. The quest giver is near the landing site in the settlement, the ! points to a terminal in my game in the middle of town which i think is a bug, it's the guy standing to the right of it.

That quest tasks you with making pathfinder armor. The materials are likely already in your inventory by that point but are all on eos. This armor has 4 slots.

Buy some augments from the buy sell terminal on the tempest.

Where do you find augmentations though? The ones I've developed are all "special augmentations" so I can only use one of them when developing a chest piece. I don't know where to find "normal" ones to fill up the other 2 slots

You can buy them from the terminal right next to the research station on the tempest.

My terminal didn't sell any. I found a Materials Merchant on Aya that sold them though.

I found lots of augmentations by scavenging or opening chests and containers. I have not bought anything from a dealer.

The only guns I can craft only have 2 augment spaces, I'm quite far through the game and I'm level 33? Any ideas?

As you progress throughout the game, you will unlock AVP Status Controller, allowing you to release different types of Cryo Pods to benefit your game with things such as extra minerals collected etcetera. As you increase the Nexus level through viability, you'll unlock more pods to use.

Eventually, under science, you'll get the opportunity to unlock the Innovation pod. Unlock, go to research, make your weapon of choice (I used an AR) and then go to development. Develop the weapon, and before you craft you'll have the option of adding mods to your gun. Simply assign at least three mods to the nodes and confirm your crafting development. The achievement will then pop for you.

Note: this also works for armor. If you want armor instead of a gun just follow the same steps as above and replace the word gun with armor. Happy hunting!

Once you have access to the Tempest, as well as different settlements, you will have access to Research terminals. Accessing them gives you two options: Research and Development.

First, you have to Research either a weapon, ammo or part for the Nomad, based on the blueprints that you have found or purchased. Blueprints can be found in containers or purchased from merchants.

The blueprints that you can actually research will be based on the amount of Milky Way, Heleus and Remnant Research Data that you currently have. You gain more from scanning things around the Nexus, Tempest and planets. Once you have the necessary Research Data, you can research your blueprint and make it available to develop.

Once you have blueprints available to develop, head to the Develop section of your Research Terminal. This is where you earn this trophy.

Certain weapons and armor, allow for mods or augments to be attached to them when they're developed. For instance, when I did this, I had researched the N7 armor and was developing the chest piece. The chest piece allows for 4 mods/augmentation slots. You first need the necessary materials to create/develop the piece that you want. When you have that and create it, you are given options to add the mods or augments to the piece before you create it. You will be automatically shown which mods are available for the piece that you are creating. If you don't have enough, these can also be found around planets or purchased from merchants.

Once you have created the piece that you want, and added at minimum, 3 mods/augments to it, the trophy will unlock.

To craft something, first you will need to research the plan with data that you collect by using your scan tool. So whenever you are walking around, press Down on the D-pad to bring up the tool and anything that is highlighted a bright orange, press to scan and receive research funds. Once you have unlocked the blueprint in research, you then need to develop it. This costs materials, which will be found inside containers while on missions or received from loot boxes as rewards for sending out strike teams, as well as deconstructing weapons and armor and looting enemies.

Now make sure you have found or crafted three augmentations, and that you have researched something with three open augment slots that match the type of augments you own. Once you have that sorted out, you'll need to make sure you have all the materials required to then craft the item. If you are able to craft the item, make sure you choose to add your three augments before confirming and it will unlock once crafted.

To get this trophy, you need to develop a gun or armor piece with 3 augmentations in single player. You can develop guns at research terminals that you can find throughout the game. The first chance is when you first have access to the Tempest. After reaching the Nexus, you will automatically get access to the Tempest. Onxe nside the Tempest, the Research Terminal is located in the middle of the ship. Go to the Terminal and create a gun or armor piece that has the capacity to add 3 augments to unlock this trophy. You'll need some materials/minerals to make the gun or armor piece, and can be bought from vendors or mined from mineral deposits all over the 5 different planets.

We approach the scientific terminal (also available on the Tempest) and when creating an item, we sew 3 reinforcements into it. Not all items have 3 upgrade slots, so be careful and look for armor or weapons with 3+ upgrade slots.
