Project Overlord is part of the Overlord DLC from Mass Effect 2 and is included in the Legendary Edition. The Illusive Man asks you to investigate one of their research bases after it has gone silent for unclear reasons. The whole mission consists of the 4 following assignments:
▪ Overlord
▪ Overlord: Vulcan Station
▪ Overlord: Prometheus Station
▪ Overlord: Atlas Station
You can start the Overlord assignment by landing on the planet Aite (Typhon system, Phoenix Massing cluster). When you do, you'll also have to complete the other 3 assignments before you can return to the Normandy. It is still possible to switch squad members in between, though. You'll be fighting
so pick you squad members and weapons accordingly.
The assignments shouldn't give you too much trouble. When you finish the final battle at Atlas Station, you'll have to make a decision that will have an impact on the story in Mass Effect 3. In short,

The, Pants, Party
Project Overlord is a four-part quest that can be started at any time after acquiring the Normandy. It's a tough mission, so leaving it off until later in the game when you have stronger squadmates and more powers would be a good idea though. You can find a walkthrough for the mission HERE.
