Yep. After way more than 25 it finally unlocked.

Does this work on the Mako/fast transit? I have done way more than 25.

I can confirm that this does work on the mako. I also used Kaiden to achieve this.

Tip for anyone having trouble, there are two distinct sounds when performing a successful Neural Shock: a “woo-ump” and an electric shock noise. Make sure you hear both! I did it like 40 times and only heard the initial “woo-ump” noise and then I moved closer to the Mako and heard the second sound and figured that was my mistake. 25 reloads later and it unlocked. Hope this helps.

For any of those who made the mistake of putting it off like me till the endgame. I was able to get it to pop on first-phase Saren with Kaiden, even if you have the charm/intimidation unlocked pop a quick-save before the encounter and go through regular non-unlocked dialogue, and just reload the beginning of the first phase over and over! :)

Works on Mako, does not seem to work on fast transit.

You have to be as close to Mako as you can, then you can see it taking damage with each shock. Just unlocked this with Kaiden.

You may just have to make a new game and get to the first point of being able to use the Mako. Unless you happen to have an earlier game save? I'm not sure it would actually take too long. You'd likely have to complete up to receiving Spectre status again.

Yeah im gonna have to go back and do a quick new play through to get this. Never mind, game is awesome fun so not that fussed

I mean, you could do it yourself, but if you don't have the right class, you can use Kaidan like the rest of us do.

Engineers and Sentinels can do this without Kaiden, if they've put enough points into Medicine.

Jan 2023 i can confirm the mako trick still works!

I think it's patched on the mako or the achievement is bugged altogether now. I've tried literally hundreds of times on both the mako and enemies and it won't unlock

The achievement might be bugged, because I have unlocked some hours ago with Kaidan without any problem

I barely use him, and then when I tried hours ago I was able to buy all the points in the medicine category

20 or 30 minutes later and after using 25 times , the achievement unlocked perfectly

I can confirm as of 15 February 2024 that the Mako trick still works.

Or you can replay a combat arena (like a base on a planet) again, again & again until it unlocks. That way you're actually having fun fighting enemies whilst unlocking it. It'll be barely take longer than the mako trick (because like all powers it needs time to recharge anyway).

Cannot get this one to pop. I am commanding Kaiden to use it but nothing. Did you have the power for your Shepheard ot did you command Kaiden to do it?

Worked on the Mako for me so I thought I'd share a couple tips.

Took an early save with Kaiden in it, put points into Medicine to unlock Neural Shock (you need about 5-6 pts), and then traveled to some universe and landed with him in the party. First action was to hop out of the Mako and target it. When targeted you'll see a red triangle appear on the Mako. After about 15 shots, the Mako started to smoke and I realized you can see the "health" of the ship going down with each successive hit. On hit 25 the achievement popped.

Yes it works fine on the mako. Try to use the ability on the blue targeting circle, if you are having problems with unlocking the achievements. You can see the health of the mako, if you open the ability window.
