No need to start on checkpoint 12 as you have to sit through the cut scene, start on checkpoint 13 it puts you in the car ready to shoot.. All this is a great spot to farm explosive and vehicle kills

Load up Chapter 14: Checkpoint 12. After you get in the car to chase down the plane, you will have several enemy Humvee's chasing you. Load up Chapter XIV, Checkpoint 13. Set difficulty to Easy. Don't waste your grenades on the guys who run out at you on foot to start the sequence.
