How to unlock the ALL NIGHTMARE achievement in McDROID - Definitive Guide
ALL NIGHTMARE
This can be difficult, seems impossible at moments but like any strategy game there is always a tactic to winning.
First tip is that you finish every first level (not challenges and not nightmare missions), I actually did every Nightmare level before finishing level 11, but I wish I waited because it would have been easier and faster if I just finished doing the story and unlocked every unlockable in missions 12 and 13.
As for the strategy, controlling the strawberry income is important if you don't want to give away all your diamonds going through these missions because those can go fast! So immediately get control of any strawberry points by putting mobile turret bases on the strawberry patch, a tree to increase the speed (at least in the beginning), and put a bot factory to collect the strawberries. Keep an eye on your strawberry areas because if they get compromised you will lose income.
Once you have the strawberry patches controlled or need a method to gain control like in mission 12, you can put down mobile turret bases in any locations that enemies will try to go through. The main thing I did in almost every mission is put the turret bases in between the spawn points and my ship, big enemies cannot get past these because they are indestructible, small can get through but getting the big guys stuck helps a TON!
Now what you want to do is put turrets (The ones that cost diamonds) behind those turret bases but not close enough where the big ass snails that reach out to attack can hit (if possible). Behind the turrets try putting more pads around and put repair arms to keep the turrets at full health.
A few other turrets and how I used them:
Fully upgraded rocket - Powerful, kills quickly, good range. I recommend this for big enemies, not small even though it has area of affect damage.
Fully upgraded laser turret - BEST when attacked to your bot, if you hold it down and hit crowds of enemies they will die very fast! Huge area of effect damage, the most distance any turret has. I used 2 of these to get through mission 13.
Fully upgraded Tesla Coil - takes tons of damage great for controlling the little guys.
Repair arm - one of the best things in the game, 3 things can repair, your bot, your ship, and these arms. Put these arms everywhere!
Fully upgraded bot factory - spits out bots to collect strawberries so you don't have to, melee bots, and Tesla bots. Try upgrading your bot factories if they are next to your ship or in a big patch, try not to focus on small spots.
Most missions are easy except 12 and 13, those 2 will spawn so many enemies your game will go half the speed it normally does and yes it will be annoying! Just follow my methods and the missions are do-able.
Mission 12 Glitch: In mission 12 you will progress and need to kill a spider bot, he will pop out at Wave 8 nightmare. When you defeat his first form he will run back to his little hide-away, if you don't do something MOST LIKELY he will get stuck.
How to avoid: Put 3 turret pads down where he gets stuck, I also threw down a couple of turrets which might have helped too, but if you put them just right he won't run into the corner and get stuck, he will slide against your stuff and go into the hole where you can destroy him!
Need Diamonds? My solution below explains to get this achievement and a shit ton of diamonds, I would save from 3k-6k before doing missions on Nightmare.
I hope this guide will help anyone, good luck and have fun.

One tip I'd like to add: Turret placement carries over from normal > challenge > nightmare, but diamond costs reset. This mean that you can replay through the first two mode setting down diamond placements for cheap. This also gives you more time to easily set up thanks to the normal and challenge modes being a lot easier once you have completed the game.
I basically exploited this to set up walls blocking all paths to the ship like Strategy One suggested.
I haven't tried it on the last two missions yet, but it made the other missions a joke.

Any chance you could take a screenshot of whatever you did in mission 12? Or a game clip?
