I got this in mission 3 Challenge mode, just build Tesla Coils on all the turret pads, you can upgrade them and they are still considered Tesla coils.

I did this mission 3 Challenge mode, before finishing Mission 3 sell all your turrets so you don't have any turrets, if any turrets are there in challenge mode the achievement is void. You need to start from the beginning of the level and to the end have no turrets. (Confirmed by Eurydace)
what i did - complete mission 3 with only teslas. you wont get the achievement, because you need to sell the one turret you start with, but when you start challenge mode you will already have 5 - 6 teslas. i also had most ship/droid upgrades when i started challenge. i used the upgrade that allows u to carry 3 turrets(rail upgrade i believe). i had 3 teslas and it was so easy. and when i say easy i mean im surprised everyone doesnt have it. i did circles around the center and was full health. dodged meteors by keeping them far away from my ship/turrets. keep turrets infront of ship.
to anyone who starts right on stage 3 challenge.... if you have ANY turrets that arent teslas you have automatically voided your achievement. hence my 3 runs before. when i got the achievement for no destroyed turrets iknew i was doing something wrong. TY Strategy One. plz adjust because i had no idea about turrets from the main mission remaining on the challenge modes. thumbs up

You can also build armor and ship upgrades. I had the luigi arms so the ship could repair me and the tesla coils.
