How to unlock the Multiplayer: Tier 1 achievement in Medal of Honor - Definitive Guide

You need a total of 31,700 points in one class to reach the top level of Level 15 Tier 1 Warfighter which will take between 10 to 20 hours depending on your skill. It's difficult to suggest one class over another because everyone has different play styles, preferences, and skill levels.

One thing to consider while building your Score Chains, Offensive Support Actions are more luck than skill while Defensive Support Actions are guaranteed points. If you're confident in your ability to skillfully place these attacks where you can consistently get 3 or more kills then go for it, but for those of us who have trouble getting even a single kill, Defensive Support Actions are the way to go.

Below is a list of the point requirements for each level and unlockables earned once you reach them. Though this info is available in game, this list is to show those who have yet to play the game what they are in for. 20 hours of multiplayer could be a deal breaker for some.

Keep in mind that each level resets your points to zero so the point requirements below are the new amount for the next level.

Might not want include you're building on someone else's submission. Instead if you think you have better solution submit yours, like you did, and if there points from the others to include innovate on them. Still got a thumbs up from me, but just a heads up.

I didn't really think I was doing anything better than the other submissions but just including a bit more helpful information so everyone is clear on what is required of them. So far, 3 people appreciate it and 3 think it sucks. I'm curious why anyone voted negatively.

my guess is that you wrote down exactly what people can see in game and nothing on how to get their faster what class is better. im not going to vote at all add a little more on which class is easiest maybe a pointer for each class and ill vote positive and delete this comment if you want me too.

There is no way to determine a better class as it is player preference. I like to run and gun with smoke so I use assault, but a camper that like long range shooting won't find that useful.

I like how you automatically insinuate a sniper as a camper ha

@blkmag1k.

in this game snipers are campers, it takes ZERO skill to snipe in this game.

Cheers dude! 20 hours of playing is nothing to get the top rank, when you consider you that you needed roughly 400 hours of play to unlock rank 50 on Bad company 2.

I regularly get 20-40 kills a game and I got this achievement by maxing the Sniper Class. The reason I do so well is I DON'T camp. Camping is the worst thing to do, once you kill somebody they can easily find out where you were. It's all about getting behind the enemy and releasing hell with the pistol. For some reason your sidearm can out-shoot the Assault and Spec Ops class weapons.

weird about the pistol kills isn't it? Full auto is nothing compared to it.

Servers are currently down. There's been no word on a fix but there was no announcement that they were closing. Many EA games had servers go down during the handoff to Microsoft last year. Some have been brought back online just to go down again and others haven't been back at all. I'm sure they'll be up again at some point, but it's clearly not a high priority for them. At the moment, all multiplayer achievements in this game are unobtainable.

Sector Control is a good one for this. Capture and defend flags, build up scorechains and you should have no trouble with this. especially if the lobby only contains 6 players total(3 per team). it doesnt matter if u die. the game awards u the points to ur current level that u build up in ur match. say that u go around and collect every sector(20pts per sector captured) and manage to kill 3 times(10-15pts each kill) and use the uav(25pts) n the match ammo(30pts i believe) then at the end of the match u would get awarded 160points on ur stats screen that get added to ur current level points!! jus figured this out!!! also same points principle applies to all game modes!

I just got this achievement today. The only thing I would add to Facial's solution is a little advice on getting the most from your scorechains. This takes advantage of the fact that scorechain abilities carry over after death and respawn. If you're playing Combat Mission and taking an assault or spec ops role and really getting into the fight you can expect to die and not reach the 600 scorechain everytime. So to maximize your points, don't use the abilities as soon as you get them. When you hit 50 and get UAV, wait until you get two more kills and hit scorechain 70, then use it, and the 30 from UAV gets you straight to 100 Match Ammo. Then, save Match ammo until you need 40 for your next support... This is very useful in case you get killed before hitting the next tier of support... If you die with a UAV or Match Ammo, it carries over to the next life, and you can wait until you get 10 or 20 points on that life, call in your UAV or Match Ammo... and BAM, new UAV and 30 more points. Hope that makes sense, I found this strategy very useful. More points per match, as simple as that.

I have noticed that after death the defensive action don't give as many points. For instance I've had the UAV only give 20 points after I die and use it on the next life and Match ammo only 35. Has anyone else noticed this?

From reading what others write, it seems that the game just gives you as many points as it feels like. For me, UAV, Match Ammo, and Flak Vests have always been 25 points. FMJ Ammo is always 30 for me, and past that, I don't know, as I tend to go for offensive actions for 5, 6, and 7.

Pretty much, this is how I obtained this achievement. Just play Combat Mission, and when you get your kill rewards, or scorechain up to 50, always use the team/defensive support, not the offensive support action. It grants more points, and helps you level up much quicker than a person always using an offensive scorechain reward. You get two types of cruise missiles while getting up to the 600 scorechain. If you feel confident enough, you can use these to up your points, considering you can control exactly where the missiles land and if you are lucky, you can rack up about 3-5 kills for the first missile. When you use your offensive scorechain, it will tell you danger close, but you CAN still use it. Thats why I suggest using the missiles look at the wall next to you, and since you can control the missile, it doesn't matter that it is danger close. Good luck with earning your achievements!.

Its simpler to go with defensive support anyways because half the time you try using offensive you get shot in the process. Nice advice though haven't played Combat mission yet.

For the guided missiles, while you can steer them, it's still for the better to call it in the general area of your enemies. I got my first cruise missile while sniping a couple days ago, called it on the rock I was using for cover, and barely had a chance to steer it away from myself before it hit. Nothing kills the joy of reaching the last scorestreak like not getting any kills with it.

For this achievement, I recommend using the Special Ops class, just because I found it the easiest to pwn n00bs with. Now since you are using a short to medium range based class, you should play Team Assault. This is because you will get relatively small maps with this gametype. In Combat Mission, you tend to get larger maps where snipers dominate. In Objective Raid, the games tend to only last 1-3 minutes. I am not sure about Sector Control because I wasn't paying much attention while playing it so somebody might be able to confirm if that is also a good gametype.

As for weapons, in my experience the AKS-74u and the M4A1 are the best. I seemed to do very well with the shotguns on the map Kunar Base. You may use any attachments that you are comfortable with, but for the AKS and the M4, I personally always used the red dot sight, silencer, and extra magazines.

When using scorechain rewards, here are some tips:
1. NEVER use mortar strike (first offensive reward you get for 50 points)
2. Be careful where you are calling offensive rewards with the binoculars because it is too easy too call it in right on yourself.
3. Always use defensive rewards unless you have them pinned down in a spawn trap.

It is worth mentioning that you need 31,700 points in total to get to level 15. You can see more detailed stats in Solution for Multiplayer: Tier 1 In Medal of Honor

This took me about 16 hours to get if my estimation is correct, but that is because at first i was trying to rank up all of my classes.

There are many achievements that you might earn while chasing this one, but you will definitely get these even if you are a god who can do it in under two hours:

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: EnlistedThe Multiplayer: Enlisted achievement in Medal of Honor worth 19 pointsReach level 2 in any class

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: VeteranThe Multiplayer: Veteran achievement in Medal of Honor worth 21 pointsReach level 4 in any class

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: Triple CanopyThe Multiplayer: Triple Canopy achievement in Medal of Honor worth 29 pointsReach level 8 in one class

Please give me feedback on this solution, good or bad, so I know what to do in future solutions!

Good luck and beware of sniper n00bz.

The best way to boost this achievement is in the Sector Control game mode by trading flag captures. Using this method, you can go from level 1 to 15 in approximately 2.5 hours. You can also easily unlock four other achievements along the way.

You’ll need a minimum of six to start. Once you have everyone, designate a flag to meet at and take turns capturing it.

While capturing the flag, you’ll gain a support chain, similar to a kill streak as you lose it when you die. There are seven tiers to the support chain with two options per tier (left or right on the D-pad). Start with the left side first which are the offensive support actions.

Each time one becomes available, hit left on the D-pad to call it in (try to call it in as far away from you and everyone as possible, otherwise it may accidentally kill members of the opposing team, resetting their chain). After hitting a 600xp chain, you will receive your last support action. Upon using all seven of them you will receive your achievement at the end of the round (does not need to be done in one round).

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: Forward SpotterThe Multiplayer: Forward Spotter achievement in Medal of Honor worth 37 pointsDeploy a missile strike support action (awarded at end of round)

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: Fire ControllerThe Multiplayer: Fire Controller achievement in Medal of Honor worth 124 pointsUse each offensive support action once (awarded at end of round)

After using all the offensive support actions, die to reset your chain if necessary and start hitting right on the D-pad for the defensive support actions. Every time you use one of these you will be rewarded support points which you will need 1000 of for the other achievement. As with offensive actions, there are only seven of these, so after using all seven be killed to reset your chain.

After a couple matches of doing this you will have reached the 1000 needed support points.

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: QuartermasterThe Multiplayer: Quartermaster achievement in Medal of Honor worth 76 pointsGet 1000 support points

Now to effectively gain the most XP, use all seven defensive support actions (again, right on the D-pad) but this time do not die to reset, instead continue trading flag captures because after the seven tiers you will receive two times XP. Along the way have the same three people on the top of the scoreboard for ten matches, then rotate to the next three until everyone has this achievement.

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: High AchieverThe Multiplayer: High Achiever achievement in Medal of Honor worth 86 pointsBe top 3 on the scoreboard ten times

Around level 13 you should have spent two hours in this game mode.

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: Secure SpecialistThe Multiplayer: Secure Specialist achievement in Medal of Honor worth 44 pointsPlay two hours of Sector Control

Medal of HonorMultiplayer: Tour of DutyThe Multiplayer: Tour of Duty achievement in Medal of Honor worth 22 pointsPlay online for 2 hours

Continue for a couple matches and you’ll have your achievement. Hope this was helpful and happy hunting!

There are a total of 15 levels for each class. You must reach Level 15 in one class. You need a total of 31,700 Points to reach level 15. If you want to check your progress, go to Multiplayer - Career - Stats & Awards. This achievement should take you about 8-10 hours if you are good at the game. Below is a chart of how much experience you need in between levels.

  • Level 1 - 0 Points
  • Level 2 - 250 Points
  • Level 3 - 350 Points
  • Level 4 - 500 Points

UNOBTAINABLE DUE TO SERVER CLOSURE

There's nothing much I can say except keep playing as your favourite class. The top level is Level 15 which requires a total of 31,450 points for one class. Playing matches that suit your play style will definitely make this quicker. For example if you're an objective based person then Combat Mission, Sector Control and Objective Raid are your picks. If you're a good close quarters shooter and like to go crazy in a kill-fest, then Team Deathmatch is your friend. The maps are pretty small and there's a total of 24 players so it turns chaotic really quickly. You should always be aware of your surroundings, and use Defensive Support Actions which grant you guaranteed points instead of Offensive ones unless you're confident of the kills.
