From experience, I don't believe you need to Harvest a whole 6x6 Field, but rather a single tile from a field that meets the 6x6 size requirements.
You can build fields in the Farming section of the craft menu. You'll need to lay out a section of land for the farm that meets the minimum 6x6 size, so feel free to build as big as you want past that. I opted for an 8x8 just to be sure that my field was big enough.
I don't know how much effort is definitively required for this achievement. Normally you must...
- Lay out the field boundaries
- Use a Hoe to Til the Soil
- Use Fertilizer on the soil with a bag equipped
- Use a Hoe on the soil again
- Lay your chosen seed down (With regards to the correct planting season) and with a bag equipped
- Wait until the correct month to harvest.
Theoretically, I believe you could lay out a massive farm but only complete the above steps for a single 'Tile' and then upon Harvesting said tile, it should unlock the achievement. The reason I think this is because only half of my farm had completed step (2) and it unlocked for me
Regardless, you will need to harvest a lot of crops to get the achievement for level 10 Farming, and you'll likely also need to grow crops for various quests so it's definitely worth putting the effort in.

I confirm that one tile is enough, but the field needs to be bigger than 6x6 so the minimum size is 6x7.

Just incase anyone else is as much as a dingbat as me, make sure the field is a solid 7x6 or bigger. I didnt realise on Xbox that you could drag the size of fields out, so I had been placing 8x8 individual tiles next to each other...which needless to say, does not work.
