After using the very first elevator in the Hive level, cross over the bridge that is protected by lasers. Get past the 3 ants in the next area and you will see the Charge Ball crate in plain sight at the back of the room.

After using the first elevator in the Hive, after crossing a laser protected bridge you will have 3 large ants to get past. The crate holding the Charge Ball Court is to the rear of this room in plain view.
