Meet the Robinsons

Right after obtaining the disassembler from the storage room, start destroying some stuff to get different components which you will need to build the scanner. Then leave the area by shooting one of the crates down and using it to parkour your way back to where you came from. You'll have to jump up a few crates, sidle your way across a ledge, and then use the ladder to get down to the tube you entered the room in. Once back in the lab, explore some more and destroy things if you need more supplies. If you have enough, go to the gadget machine in the lab to create the scanner. The achievement should pop the second you make it.

This is an unmissable and story related achievement and can be obtained during the second part of the Robinson House!
