How to unlock the Gold x1 achievement in Mega Man Legacy Collection - Definitive Guide

I unlocked my first Gold in the Mecha Dragon Challenge with a time of 22 seconds. This is the first Dr Wily Castle boss from Mega Man 2. Equip Quick Boomerang, don't fall and don't touch the dragon. Be careful when the challenge starts, as you'll be about a pixel in the air over the first block, and the dragon comes up fast, so jump quickly.

Playing it on PS4. I also did the Mecha Dragon. But I did watch the replay from the #1 in the rank list. Just spam it with your regular Megabusters auto fire (default: Triangle on PS4 / Y on Xbox). Takes less then 10 seconds.

Thanks for the guide. The 2nd or 3rd jump right as you start is tricky as to not hit the dragon's head. I went to the top platform and hit cn_Y to triple boomerang his face for 23 sec.

I was able to get this using the Mega Man 1 pause glitch on the Yellow Devil challenge. Once you gain control, press cn_start and select Thunder Beam (E). Unpause and dodge the orbs the Yellow Devil flies in as to the best of your ability. Once he opens his eye, fire a Thunder Beam and as soon as it hits him, spam cn_LB over and over again and he'll take multiple hits from one shot. One shot may not kill him, if that's the case, fire again and finish him off. I was able to complete it with a time of 00:24:56 and it wasn't the most efficient run.

If you haven't unlocked them yet, this will also get you the Bronze and Silver x1 achievements.

If you die at any point, push the view button on your controller and select restart challenge.

From the main menu, select "Challenges" then scroll to challenge #4 "Mecha Dragon".
Once the level begins, you instantly want to start moving to your right using cn_LSr and tapping and holding cn_A to jump across to each block, once you can't see a block to land on, stay still and wait for one to appear before jumping or you will hit the side of the screen and fall to your death.
Once the level stops moving, you will then be faced with killing the Mecha Dragon. You want to jump up to the second block, fire using cn_Y and when he fires his first flame, you want to jump this and continue firing on him. He will then blast a second big shot at you, in which you will need to jump to the top block in order to dodge, then continue firing. By now you should have already defeated him. If not, when he fires a 3rd shot, jump back down to the second block and start firing on him again.

Once defeated, you will have your Gold medal.
Along with this Achievement, you should also unlock:
