Mega Man Legacy Collection

There are many different and viable boss orders for MegaMan 2. I suggest this one but you can start by the boss you want and clear your way through the game without much trouble:

-Metal Man // Use Mega Buster
-Wood Man // Use M (Metal Man weapon)
-Air Man // Use W (Wood Man weapon)
-Crash Man // Use A (Air Man weapon)
-Flash Man // Use C (Crash Man weapon)
-Quick Man // Use F (Flash Man weapon, then finish him with the buster)
-Bubble Man // Use Q (Quick Man weapon)
-Heat Man // Use B (Bubble Man weapon)

Dr Wily's Castle:
1st level, Mecha Dragon // Use Q
2nd level, Detachable Walls // Use M
3rd level, Guts Dozer // Use Q or B
4th level, Orb Room: Here, you have to use C (Crash Man weapon) to blow up the walls protecting the orbs. You can destroy only two walls otherwise you won't have enough ammo to destroy the orbs, so you have to destroy only the two walls directly protecting the orbs. Use items (1-2-3) to reach the others. Note that if you die, the walls you've already destroyed won't respawn. Everyoter weapon are uneffective (like Magikarp's Splash)
Wily's first form // Use M or C or your basic weapon.
Wily's second form // Use B which is the only effective weapon against him.

SAVE/LOAD:
Unlike the original games, you can save and reload your game whenever you want so simply save before a part you have trouble with and load again if you die.

METHOD IS CONFIRMED TO WORK!

For Mega Man 2 through 6, there is a password system that lets you begin the games with some major milestones completed. The passwords for some of these games can bring you as far as the Dr. Wily Castle, and others can only bring you up to the point where you've beaten every Robot Master. Whatever the case, they'll end up saving you a lot of time if you're more interested in getting a game's associated achievement than playing through the game to experience it from start to finish.
