How to unlock the Dodge This achievement in Mega Man X Legacy Collection - Definitive Guide

To unlock this achievement, you must first have the armor upgrade. Once you do, to get units for the Giga Crush, you must take damage from projectiles - walking into enemies doesn't count. Once the meter is full, fight any of the 8 bosses and use the weapon they're weak against first to whittle them down, then use the Mega Buster to get them down to just 1 health point. At this point, use the Giga Crush to kill the boss and the achievement will unlock immediately.

I can confirm. I just tapped the Giga Crusher (X button) and it used all my ammo with it and killed him. Achievement popped.

The achievement also unlocks when defeating the X-hunters, at least in the final stages. I just unlocked defeating Agile, the third stage boss.

Requirements: Wheel Gator Beaten, Armor Upgrade from Morph Moth stage

Get any of the 8 Mavericks to one or two lines of health left, then unleash your armor blast it will kill them.

To use the Giga Crush, you must obtain the Body armor parts, found in Morph Moth’s stage. Right after you enter the building at the beginning, you’ll walk past some junk. On the first gray floor, use the Spin Wheel to break through the floor. Below this area is the capsule.

The Giga Crush becomes a special weapon that can be used. It must be fully charged first, which is done by taking damage. Once it’s fully charged, it can be unleashed for a devastating screen filling attack. Now you just need to finish one of the boss stages, or get to the end of the game where you fight them all again, and weaken one of them until they are low on health, with no more than 1 or 2 pips of health (Maverick bosses have high resistance to the attack). Then, simply use the Giga Crush and kill them off.

Giga Crush always deals only 2 damage to all bosses. Therefore, hit Maverick first with another weapon that he has a weakness for.
Giga Crush is awarded for finding body armor. It charges when you take damage from shots and uses up all the charge when used.
