Merchant of the Skies

This is where you level up your skills and decode scrolls (the latter costs gems). Once you earn a skill point the guy on the flying turtle that roams the map will prompt you to go to talk to the giants. They are precisely where he says they are: in the very south west corner of the map. Just explore the island closest to that corner and this will pop.

Be aware you’ll likely need a ship upgrade to get there and back to a recharge station as the starter ship has a really small battery. You can always plan to run out and pay for a tow if you prefer, but have the cash, a second bankruptcy ends your game (or so the game claims, anyway).
