All achievements are now seemingly fixed and this is unlocking as it should.
Players will need to purchase the Puppy and choose it five times.
This can be boosted quickly by starting a game and immediately quitting as soon as you load into the preparation phase. Repeat this five times and the achievement will be yours.

As of today, it’s all glitched. Almost looks like it’s unlocking the achievement before the one you actually unlock.
Played 5 as King and unlocked Wood Golem, played 5 as hero unlocked king, played 5 as dictator unlocked thief, hit round 10 unlocked the puppy.
Also to test, I just loaded a match as thief and quit five times and that unlocked card master.
Almost certain it’s unlocking the achievement before it in the Xbox list. I’m sure this will be patched since this came out today, but up for grabs now!
