How to unlock the It's Gear time!! achievement in METAGAL - Definitive Guide

The first Gear you will come across is during the tutorial which is the first playable mission. It will be in some water shortly after the part you learn about DASH. As soon as you pick it up you'll pop this achievement.

Completing the rest of the level will unlock:
METAGALThis was too easy...The This was too easy... achievement in METAGAL worth 90 pointsComplete the tutorial level with GAL.00.

I killed the fish before grabbing the gear.
The fish dropped a gear which didn't give me the achievement.

I had to load a new save and play the tutorial again

Strange, it should have counted. I played the game on an alt account and the fish dropped a gear so I was able to get the 1st and 2nd gear achievements in the tutorial.

You need to collect 1 gear. The first gear in the water in the tutorial stage.

You will find your first gear in the tutorial stage. It is sitting in a pool of water shortly before the door that leads to the boss. Drop into the water and collect it. See I will do better this time!!
