How to unlock the A Big Fan of Lefties achievement in METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE - Definitive Guide

This achievement is not as hard as it sounds, but to make it as simple as possible put the difficulty on easy and make sure assist mode is on.

My first tip is before running in to a group of enemies use your AR mode (up on the D-Pad), you are looking for enemies with a blue flashing square.

Second tip try to clear out all other enemies before aiming for the officer who has the blue flashing square, once this is done you now need to stun the enemy officer. To do this you need to parry, when the officer is about to hit (press X) and if you time it right they will be stunned.

When they are stunned use blade mode (LT) and aim for there upper left arm, if you need any more help the area you need to cut with blade mode is highlighted in blue.

Below is how many arms can be found in each level.
R-00 has no lefties
R-01 has FOUR 0-4 found here
R-02 has THREE 5-7 found here
R-03 has EIGHT 8-15 found here
R-04 has EIGHT 16-23 found here
R-05 has THREE 24-26 found here
R-06 has no lefties
R-07 has FOUR 27-30 found in this level.

If you find them all your achievement will pop.

Checked. Not true. If you miss one arm and you already finished the game at least once, you can replay the level you want no problem, but the game does the check about the quantity of "lefties" just at the end of each level, so to unlock the achievement you must finish at least one chapter to the end...
One VERY important note: ID#40 (18th hand, level 04) appears only if you do the part with those 3 electric panels in stealth mode. No enemy on that floor should see you, otherwise after the distrucion of 2 panels another enemy would appear instead of the one with the arm. I though it was buggy, but then... :-)

In order to obtain this trophy, you need to get all 30 left arms throughout the game.

Officers with left arms can be seen immediately by initiating augment mode - their left arms pulse a green diamond.

There are rewards for obtaining all the left arms:

Wig A = 10 left arms + Completing the game on Normal Difficulty
Wig B = 20 left arms + Completing the game on Normal Difficulty
Blade Mode Wig = 30 left arms + Completing the game on Hard Difficulty
Armor Breaker (epic blade) = 30 left arms (difficulty doesn't matter).

Below is a video by Somewhat Awesome Games, and it is fantastic. If you get a chance, go give his video a thumb's up on youtube.

Also, note that Left Arm #18 only becomes available by taking out the security panels without being detected in Chapter 4 - a heavy armored cyborg will appear near the third panel once you get the first two done in a very stealth-like manner. wink

The left arms are displayed as "IDs" in the Collection, which is the game's collectable showcase. Each of them has its own ID, picture and info, and is denoted all together as an ID. They also have numbers, which correspond to the main order of collection found on Youtube videos. So, if the Collection says you're missing #x or #xx, then you should find that one in the video. Once you've completed the game and unlocked a whole sum of other achievements, you'll have fought a variety of different types of enemy groups based on behaviour, situations, etc. You'll probably only have a few more to go. If you're on a playthrough, chasing after the humanoid Dwarf Gekkos or maybe even those civilian rescue situations as well in one go, use AR vision a lot. It gives you the ability to easily identify which enemy officers have left arms with special IDs which belong in the Collection. After this playthrough, you'll only have a few more ID's to find. They're just as easy as the Data Drives to identify, find in Youtube videos and collect.

Use GreatDisturbed's guide for more tips and this awesome link to an IGN guide that I've reposted here for your convenience. I just found that guide and it helps super well. Now both of us can benefit from the online experience of IGN posters.

This trophy requires you to find and collect all 30 left arms belonging to enemy officers. They're not too hard to miss if you're adamant about using AR mode to examine all the enemies you come across, but a few of them can be difficult to locate as you need to perform a specific action to have some of them spawn. If you miss an arm you can go back using Chapter Select and pick it up, since the game auto-saves every time you pick up an arm you'll be able to quit out of the mission once you have one you missed. However you will need to beat your current mission once you've picked up the final arm to earn this trophy. These collectibles can be tracked via the Extras tab on the Main Menu. Each Arm has a name attached to it, which is how you can track them.

Use the video below or use the Collectibles Guide for more details.

A list of collectibles is available in the collectible guide. Should note that most of the collectibles will not unlock until you complete the mission.

in R-04 as soon as you exit the elevator... you need to kill everyone secretly... and ATTENTION: leave one alive... then destroy 2 generators out of 3... after that a hidden soldier with a hand should appear.

The trophy is given after completing the chapter in which you collected the last hand.

Custom Body Yellow - opens for purchase after completing all time missions. Reduces FC usage. And if the sticks are swapped, then aiming is much easier. or at the norm with 20 hands, finish for the wig with the unlimited blade mod
