How to unlock the Complete Stealth achievement in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - Definitive Guide

It's best to do it on Very Easy; there will be very few soldiers and security cameras on the maps. Save often and in case of Alert - kill yourself, go to the menu and load the save. In total, 3 Alert modes are planned for the plot: a shootout with soldiers in the hold of a tanker and a battle with the Tengus in Arsenal Gear (2 alerts in the first and second halls). If for some reason you can’t get through without worrying, wait for the stealth camo to appear in your inventory (80 tokens for Snake and 120 for Raiden), you’ll still have to go through the game 5 times.

If you were noticed and managed to raise the alarm, it is not necessary to commit suicide and go to the menu. Just press the combination L1+L2+R1+R2+Select+Start, hold it for three or four seconds, and you will find yourself on the start screen.

If the enemy notices you, then immediately try to destroy his radio. Until he reports, the alert is not considered.

Important moment with Emma! If, while you are guiding her along the floating bridge, she is noticed, then this is also considered an alarm!!!..

I completed the game twice in vain until I realized where the mistake was)..

I didn’t count the moment when they burned Emma. Perhaps you slept somewhere else?
At the end of the game, there should be 3 alerts in the statistics - on the tanker there is a shooter with soldiers, two shootouts on the arsenal gear.

It's a misconception that spotting Emma during the sniper segment counts as an alarm - it doesn't. You can safely shoot there.

When playing as Raiden, on the Game Over screen you can see the number of alarms - ALRTNUM. Should be 0 almost the entire game. From time to time you can commit suicide and check. On the pontoon bridge, where you need to cover with a sniper, the alarm is only counted when Emma dies, even if she was not noticed, so when she dies we reboot. After this episode, the alarm counter should be equal to 1.
