How to unlock the Sounds of the Battlefield achievement in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - Definitive Guide

Missable This is the hardest trophy in the game. While it may seem like not a big deal at all with a first glance, two iPod tracks require you to get the Big Boss emblem and get all the emblems respectively. Most iPod tracks can be found as you play the game. Note that you do not need to get the iPods acquired via the usage of a password. That said the tracks below are not required for the trophy.

I'll correct TAHKNCT's hint a little.

20. Test Subject's Duality
Where to find: Midtown S Sector
Effects: None

I came across the fact that for a long time I could not understand the location of the Midtown S Sector melody. It wasn’t on the list, and I tried to find the Test Subject’s Duality location, which, of course, isn’t there. It turned out that the name of the song and the location in the clue were simply mixed up.

The assumption that a song on an iPod disappears after playing is completely wrong! I checked it from my own experience.

The main thing is not to forget: in order for you to save the taken song, you need to leave the location and save. If you did not do this and your hero died, the song will not be saved in the iPod, which means you will need to go after it again.

Addition regarding those tracks that can be obtained from the rebels. It is not necessary to approach the wounded. Walk up to any ally and give them Ration, Regain or Noodles. In this way I received all 3 required tracks in Militia Safe House, plus one more that is not on this list.

01. Inorino Uta - To get this composition as well as Kembel's facecam, after beating the game, on the initial screen... where Snake is standing near the grave, press start and in the menu select Mission briefing , then load your safe and select Act1: Liquid Sun Mission Briefing . Accordingly, when you get control of MK II, go to the second floor and near the table lies the treasured music, to get a facecam, crash into Campbell at speed. After the briefing ends, you will be prompted to save.

One of the most difficult emblems to knock out is Chicken. Its complexity lies in the inhuman tediousness of farming the necessary indicators. In my opinion, it is most convenient to stuff them in the following places:

1) 150 alarms - Act 4, exit from the tank hangar, where two geckos are grazing. In the hangar we raise the alarm - we run out into the air, wait until Evasion begins. we run into the hangar, etc. Saving along the way is also convenient.

2) 500 kills - actively kill enemies in acts 1-2, because further on there will be MUCH fewer of them and the places of endless respawn can be counted on one hand. So it’s best to arrange a massacre in acts 1-2. Specifically, in Act 1, when we are making our way through a destroyed house, there is a place where two snipers are being knocked down when we arrive. We lie down in their place with optics - endless PMC respawn is in full view.

3) 50 continuations - act 4, when the screen is divided vertically and we need to shoot geckos off the rails. We put on some movie and press it once a minute on the joystick. Exactly this amount of time passes from the moment of restart to the first self-destruction of the Gecko. Less than an hour and 50 sequels ready.

4) 50 heals - just try to use it more often. There seems to be no shortage at medium and low difficulty levels.

5) 35 hours of gameplay - we find any place where you can move from location to location and there are 100% no enemies/patrols nearby (act 3 or 4 is good). We left the console overnight, woke up in the morning, saved, moved to another location for the checkpoint and went on about our business. Nothing will happen to the console in a day. And the remaining hours can be filled with short gaming sessions.

General advice - try to fill everything you need before the end of Act 4, so that later in Act 5 you don’t feverishly write everything down on paper.

I found another convenient place to farm kills and alarms at the same time. Act 1 downtown. In the south there is a crossroads, there is also a house there that we need to get into according to the plot. When you approach this intersection, there will be PMC soldiers behind concrete shelters on the right, kill them and face the alley from which they are coming out. You take out the operator (he kills them with one bullet) and stand in one place and get kills. From time to time they will lose you and the alarm will be reset, but after taking a shot without a silencer you will immediately find yourself, in an hour you can get 500 kills and there will be enough alarms. I hope you find this place)
