What number is this mission? That would be good to include in the guide.

I know it's late to add this, but this is mission 29 if people are curious.

In addition to the other guide here you can leave and re enter this mission with a better loadout and Quiet too. Quiet can deal a lot of damage to the skulls if you don't have decent weapons.
I recommend C4, a rocket/grenade launcher, a sniper rifle, and keep moving. Also scan the skulls so you can see their health bars.
Hide in buildings if your health isn't refilling.

This the 29th mission of the game.
I would advice to take with you D-Walker and not Quiet because

Story related. 'Metallic Archaea' is mission 29. The trophy will unlock at the mission results screen.
Before the battle starts, make sure you equip (and develop) a light machine gun as this will be your main weapon. As your first weapon I would suggest either an assault rifle or a grenade launcher. Decoys are also very helpful, as well as armor (like the Battle Dress).
When the mission begins, you'll find yo yourself immediately in a boss battle, which is actually the whole mission. Your goal is to eliminate 4 Skulls who are wearing armor as well.
The tactic I would suggest (since I beat the level with it) is to, as soon as the mission starts, run towards the near hangar, and climb on top of it. On the right side(seeing it from where you spawn in) is ladder you can use. The Skulls won't come up here, except the melee guy, who delivers one strike and leaves. So this is your cover place.
Also, the puppet soldiers can't grab you here either. Now just spray you lmg into the Skulls.
The Skulls have two types of attacks you'll deal with on the roof:
-They throw a giant rock at you.
-They spawn a giant rock under your feet. These rocks explode after a few seconds, and it'll kill you.
Later on in the game, you'll be able to develope the Brennan LS-46 (pretty sure that that's the name). This sniper rifle is the strongest in the game, and I'd definitely suggest using this one when you come back for mission tasks or S-rank.
That's all you need to know, good luck!

As of September 12, there is a bug due to which, under Tikhon, partners in this mission may have their saves erased.
After the cutscene, he ran sharply to the right, behind the containers and further between the fence and the long hangar. The skulls lose sight of the character. He returned to the takeoff and carefully shot the “ordinary” ones with a sniper rifle with a silencer. He returned to the house with the doors near the hangar, called in artillery shelling on the skulls standing on the corner, again circled around the takeoff, to the plane, to the helicopter and again along the long way to the house, another artillery shelling, only one skull remained, pretty battered, quickly with it dealt with it.
Alternatively, you can use a D-Walker with Gatling machine guns, or sit on the roof of a hangar with a sniper, or run over and shoot skulls on a tank (the tank rusts and breaks under their influence).

Climb onto any roof and knock down skulls from it, let Kvaet help. They don’t climb onto the roof of the skull; of course, they might appear to hit you with a cleaver, but they immediately jump off. Yes, and you can lie down and catch your breath on the roof if you get too tired.

The easiest way is with Gustaf with 13 missiles and armor. Run behind the helicopter to the houses and calmly shoot, making short runs along them.

the easiest way, right after the start we run straight to the building, a little to the left there is an anti-aircraft gun that tears skulls apart in 2-3 seconds in extreme sports, but they also take it out in 1-2 throws of a huge stone, so first of all we shoot down these in flight, and not We also forget about the turtles with machetes climbing into close combat.
