Mining mode is only a co-op (online) mode. You cannot get this trophy by defending the base. You can do it with someone or alone (you can also do it with one person). The most important thing is that the mining task (at any difficulty level) is completed (at any rank - even S, even A, etc.), that is, in the end the mining station must survive and not be destroyed by zombies.
PS I wrote a hint because I was a little stupid myself and thought that when there is a drill and zombies attack it, it is always prey. But no - in offline it’s protecting the base, but in co-op (co-op play mode) it’s already mining (despite the fact that the essence of the gameplay is the same in both cases)
