How to unlock the Suppression achievement in METAL GEAR SURVIVE - Definitive Guide

In addition to the tips provided.

BIG MOUTH
Locations:
Campaign- Map 1 right of Transporter 5 in a circle of rocks.
Co-op- Rescue Mission: Forsaken Ruins.

You can lure Big Mouth to the green fenced gate. It won't go past this fence. From there, you can dodge behind the 2 pillars outside the fence and wear down Big Mouth with whatever weapons you bring.
Have plenty of shotgun shells, O2, Kuban, variety of repair kits and any other ammo, because the fight takes some time. I also used molotovs, fire arrows and turrets, but turrets can be destroyed.
Shotgun blasts to the mouth/head do huge damage, but requires close range. Look for when the monster tires after attacking you. It droops its head a few moments, giving a chance to attack.
For another achievement, remember to try and get him to swallow an exploding Barrel.

FROSTBITE
Locations:
Campaign- Map 2, just south of Transporter 7.
Co-op - Rescue Missions: Fallen Village.

The same technique can be applied here. The boss will not go outside the fenced area.
I unloaded molotovs and flame arrows on the boss until I ran out. Turrets can be easily destroyed. Eventually I used my Scout class invisibility and nailed him with the shotgun. Also, while invisible, you can stand underneath and hit its appendages with a melee weapon.
Its weak point is the small tentacles glowing red in the middle of its body. They cycle around.

I haven't found the 2nd boss, thus no tips from me on that one... yet.

UPDATE: Found him.

Please let us all know if anyone finds out how to get these bosses to reappear. Maybe they show up randomly as you continue to discover the area and work on opening crates and distress signals. But they have not yet reappeared for me and no one else has says they have.

UPDATE:
You can re-fight these bosses in Co-op Rescue Missions.

Big mouth appeared after I beat the game. He disappeared after I didn't go to him and a short while had passed. After sleeping a few days, he reappeared.

Upon his death, Frostbite will spawn in map2. I believe he's a guaranteed spawn after the death of Big Mouth. If however you miss him, just continue to sleep and he will eventually come back.

After beating Frostbite, Big Mouth will spawn on Map2 a short distance south of Frostbites spawn, and this time Big Mouth will be level 60.

Since beating BM in Map1, he has not respawned there for me, only ever respawning once I'd beaten Frostbite; vice versa, Frostbite has not respawned for me since beating him though I suspect a harder version of him will once I clap the BM in Map2.

Seems like there is a guarantee boss in the hard daily salvage missions and they count. I haven’t killed either boss in single player and it popped.

After beating the main story you can randomly find a red circle on the Dite map that says "powerful enemy detected". If you go there you'll find an enemy called Big Mouth. The second boss is on the FOB map near teleporter 7. I believe you have to kill the first one for the second one to spawn. Sleeping in a tent to advance time may help to get one to spawn.

Some tips for fighting the first boss. If you are using the scout subclass the stealth ability and fox step ability will let you easily clear all the basic wanderers in the arena and place some barrels. A purple shotgun with about 70 rounds should be enough to kill him. His first phase is pretty easy if you don't have any additional enemies, just hide behind a pillar in the arena and when he's not shooting you can pop out and shoot him a bunch. After he staggers from the shotgun he'll usually try a bite attack so you can place a barrel at this time if one isn't nearby. His second phase is a bit harder since his attack is a bit more instant but you can use the cloak to get in free hits and then hide while waiting for it to recharge.

Second boss is actually a lot easier, I forgot to refill my ammo after fighting the first one. I brought a purple shotgun with about 70 rounds and a purple sniper rifle with no extra pouches; I only used about half the ammo I brought so this should be safe. Again as an invisible scout just quickly clear the extra enemies. Then hide near it and watch the top of the main section for one side to glow orange. Hit that spot with the sniper and hide again. Wait until a section goes orange again and shoot it and it should stagger the boss knocking him to the ground. Then you just have to run up to him and unload your shotgun into the his main section (which should be glowing orange) until he gets back up. Then just repeat these steps until he's dead. If he ever spots you just go invisible and hide behind a building so he loses you.

Yep, just two. Maybe they'll add more in updates because this game does not feel finished (some things just aren't obtainable). Like currently I don't think you can get foodie or collector since you can't get the building to make some food and you can't get the building to craft some weapons.

I just attempted to fight big mouth for the first time. I still haven't seen where I can choose the option for a subclass but I'll keep looking. And he beat me rather easily. I can't even upgrade my character anymore. I'm stuck at level 40. But I have over 5 Million Kuban.

Holy subclasses. I just unlocked them and trying to upgrade one class ate up my 5 million Kuban quick.

Thumbs up.
I forgot to "thumbs up" this guide before I added my additional thoughts.
Thanks for the tips.

Great guide. However, I defeated both bosses after several tries and no achievement. I got the loot crates after beating both frostbite and big mouth, but nothing achievement related. Anyone else have this issue?

Only 2 boss monsters? The achievement description makes it seem like there are several. But thanks for the guide.
I feel like it's taking me forever to get to that point.

After you beat the story, Boss creatures can spawn randomly. They will be shown as a red circle area on your map. Be aware that these Boss creatures can spawn in both maps so you will have to travel back and forth every now and then to see whether they've spawned. There’s 2 bosses in total: Frostbite and Bigmouth.

I'll post some general tactics but be aware that even if you don't beat them at the first try, they often stick around long enough for you to prepare for a second (or third) try. If they disappear without you beating them, don't panic. They will spawn again at some point.

Frostbite:

Stay out of sight and focus your aim for its head. You should see one of the four sides of its "head" light up bright yellow sometimes. When this happens, it's "vulnerable". If you shoot him enough in this "soft spot", he will fall down and become fully vulnerable, when you should fully unload on him. Be careful for when he rises up again; he unleashes an AoE (Area of Effect) attack, so keep your distance or know when to run. Rinse and repeat to kill him.

Bigmouth:

He has two standard soft spots: His mouth and crotch. Basically you try to unload on him without him killing you. Be careful for his attacks, they can be very quick, strong and can have ridiculous range. Also try to get the trophy Bad Meal.

You need to kill two bosses after completing the story. Bosses appear on both maps. Spawning is random in time, but, apparently, occurs in the same places. Easy to identify by the red mark on the map. Bosses ~level 50.

Bosses also spawn on hard in dailies and wikis - they are more powerful there, but you are not alone. But there are a couple of points:
1) If you kill a boss online, you don’t get a business card for him (this is a small thing, but by the way)
2) The finishing blow to the boss online must be done by you.
This happened to me - I took a headshot to Icy online, then I tried to finish off Dinosaur, but someone was faster than me. Then I went solo, defeated the Dinosaur and the trophy dropped. Then, separately, I went solo against Ledyanoy (to finish off the business card - although this was no longer necessary for the trophy)
