Metaphor: ReFantazio

Scattered throughout Euchronia in Metaphor: ReFantazio are what are known as Gold Beetles, a seemingly useless collectible from the outset. The actual truth is that these seemingly pointless collectibles are actually a currency you can exchange for goods when you get to Port Brilehaven.

Once you’re in Port Brilehaven, head to the Arenafront Wharf (you can get there by boat from the Merchants’ Bazaar) and then speak to the Elderly Entomophile - who you might remember from the Sandworm’s intestinal tract.

The Elderly Entomophile will ask you to seek out 46 Gold Beetles and if you return them to him, he’ll give you some pretty great rewards. Those rewards being (and how many Gold Beetles you need to unlock them) are as follows:

• 1 Gold Beetle = Arcane Dragonblood (restores MP for all allies)
• 12 Gold Beetles = Venomward Charm (Prevents Physical Status Ailments - Poison, Malady, Paralysis, Hex, Burn and Frostbite)
• 25 Gold Beetles = Claw Breakers (Strength + 6, Resist Slash Damage, Legendary gloves)
• 38 Gold Beetles = Flameseal Corset (armour)
• 46 Gold Beetles = Dragon’s Fall (sword)

Gold Beetles can be found around the 5 major cities, in dungeons, and even in 1 campsite. Once you’ve found 46 of them, and returned them to the Elderly Entomophile, the ‘All That Glitters’ achievement will unlock.
