Metaphor: ReFantazio

Throughout Metaphor’s main story you’ll recruit two allies with two very different skills. Firstly, on 08/13, you’ll recruit Junah to your cause. Junah’s special Archetype is the Masked Dancer, which allows her to equip masks of different Archetypes and use their skill set without levelling them up - alongside a few other standard Masked Dancer moves, which are incredibly valuable.

Then, between 08/19 and 09/05, depending on when you save the Priestess and recover the divine relic, Darkodios, you’ll recruit Eupha - the priestess that you save. Eupha uses the Summoner Archetype, which allows her to summon boss-like characters to deal some significant damage, mostly while inflicting status ailments.

While both of those come with a mask and a summon to use, you can actually craft more if you head to Akademeia and speak to More. When you speak to More, select Special Experiments, where you’ll be able to see what you can craft. 

Of course, you’ll need materials to do this (Masks for Junah and Talisman for Eupha), but the truth is, you’ll come across these as you battle away in dungeons anyway (to put it in perspective, we did nothing special and had enough to craft 95% of all of the masks and summons by the end of the game, without actually doing anything except complete side missions and story content).

If you are after parts, there’s a woman who sells Talisman in the day on Virga Island, while there’s also a Eugief trader about halfway up Seabreeze Street in Portbrilehaven - you’ll need to advance Alonzo’s Follower link to get access to his special weekday stock, though.

Just craft one mask or summon vessel and the ‘For Science’ achievement is all yours.
