How to unlock the Star Shatterer achievement in Metaphor: ReFantazio - Definitive Guide
To do this, when arriving at the final area on Oct 26, just go to the objective marker without exploring anywhere else. If you do, you will find specific crystals that summon a mini-boss, the "strong power" that Gallica mentions when going from one area to the next. DO NOT TOUCH THESE CRYSTALS.
If you do, it lowers the power of the final boss, locking out of the achievement.
You know you did this right when you get to the last phase of the final boss (after the 3 mask phase), and he hits you with 8 full press turns.
Now it's probably just me with a skill issue but this was absolutely the hardest fight, as halfway he will give himself an additional 4 press turns, and every 3 turns he will reduce your turns down to just 1. Some things to help out:
- When he announces something along the lines of "____ race shouldn't exist", swap out that party member with someone else to avoid them dying.
- You can try to beat him at his own game and use the Sublime Spoonful dish (once you have cooked all of the previous recipes) that gives you 4 additional press turns (along with the Prince archetype skill that also gives the same effect).
- Main form of defense is dodging. But expect to use a lot of MP as in this form the boss will most likely remove buffs/debuffs. You should still use it but don't rely on it.
- You can lower the difficulty to Storyteller. The achievement still unlocks.
Be at your strongest when taking him on in this way. Best of luck.
As for reducing his turns, use high agility combined with Dodger Ring on protag and Heismay's mastered Royal Thief passive. Charadrius doesn't remove buffs every turn, so boosting evade doesn't hurt, and if you do debuff him he wastes a move to remove it. Hulkenberg's repel passives can be another option for reducing turns.
Long story short, I turtled tf out of this fight with protag doing most of the damage.
But also, Storyteller difficulty doesn't invalidate this achievement, and because you can start NG+ at a different difficulty even when you beat it on Storyteller there really aren't any consequences to doing so except for your own pride.

Your buffs/debuffs are useless as he will simply remove them when the turn starts, and within those 3 turns he will just straight up kill one of your members with no way to stop it (I think).

**Missable**
When you reach Tyrant’s Star on the final day of the game, you have a few options. Firstly, which is what most people will no doubt do, is to fight all the sub-bosses around the two areas and massively weaken the final boss.
However, if you skip those bosses, you can fight the fully-powered up ultimate form of the Destroyer Charadrius boss. This is what you must do to get the ‘Star Shatterer’ achievement. And unlike the Redscale Dragon you can do this on Storyteller difficulty, so it doesn’t matter too much.

We did this after beating the Redscale Apocalypse Dragon and took him down without breaking a sweat.
The damage base was Royal Stroll with 8 hits in a row. The support was Royal Yuna with the Soul Hacker mask (because there was a mantle for fire resistance, otherwise I would have had to put on some accessory for resistance and there would be no mask).
What else might help:
- Sturdy Stance (3rd Warrior archetype, which reduces damage by 50%, but does not allow dodging).
- Try to cover the weaknesses of your party members, it is very unpleasant when the boss gets an additional move
- Food for extra moves + GG's Royal Prince ability for +4 action points. I recommend leaving it for a situation when the boss manages to take out a party member and you need to resurrect + restore everyone's HP, or at the end, to have time to finish him off.
- If the boss warns that Hulkenberg is one-shotting, swap for Heismay and block the whole party
- I recommend throwing at least 1 debuff on the boss, and don't forget to monitor the debuffs of your party members, otherwise the party will be wiped out pretty quickly
- When you debuff a boss, he always spends 1 turn to remove all debuffs, so try to deal max damage during your turn after the debuff, otherwise the boss will almost 100% remove the debuff.
I fought him without guides, most likely there are more effective methods. Good luck to everyone
