How to unlock the DJ Artyom achievement in Metro 2033 Redux - Definitive Guide

This achievement has 2 steps:
1. On DEFENSE, you'll come to a section where you defend a station from enemies. After being overrun, you should find 1 teammate in the doorway close to where you gain control of your character after the cinematic. Walk up to him, and he will hand you a tape. If you don't take it right away, he will drop it next to his body, and you can pick it up from there.
2. On OUTPOST, you'll have to make your way up to the very top of the building on the map using the crane/ladder or stairs inside the building. Once on the roof, go underneath the large satellite/antenna and put the tape in the cassette player to gain the achievement.

It's worth calling out that if you don't get this before you clear the game, you need to drop back to DEFENSE, get the tape, and progress naturally through the game through OUTPOST. I am 100% certain I had the tape before but it didn't count it when I went straight to the tape deck on OUTPOST.

I will note that I picked up the tape from the commander and when I got to the radio tower there was no action for me to take. I know I picked up the tape and I played straight through to the radio tower. I did, however, "load last checkpoint" a couple time but never to a point before I picked up the tape.

Just to add, I picked up the tape in DEFENSE on my first story playthrough, missed the spot in OUTPOST, came back after I finished the game, played OUTPOST from the main menu and I still had the tape on me.

I had the same experience as eNaRGe. I had picked up the tape in Defense during my playthrough, but never completed the objective. After finishing the game, I didn't bother redoing Defense, and just immediately reloaded Outpost. Up reloading the chapter, I still had the tape on me and was able to broadcast the message, earning the achievement.

In order to get this on Outpost you must first take the tape from the Captain during the Defense mission. After fighting off waves of mutants and passing out, you'll wake to find your allies all dead save the Captain, who is wounded and barely holding on. Take his tape, and once you reach the Outpost mission, climb to the top of the building and look for a small shack. Inside is a tape player. Interact with it to broadcast the message and unlock this achievement.

I've created a full Enlightened playthrough video showing almost every Moral Point in the game as well as pointing out items of interest, such as this achievement.

You can see the Defense mission with all items of interest and collectibles, including pointing out where to take the tape, at the 1:13:54 mark in the video. Outpost immediately follows Defense, both in the game and in the video.

This trophy is obtained throughout Chapters Defense and Outpost.

Near the beginning of Defense, you and a few other soldiers will fight off a large pack of Nosalis and afterwards you will come across the captain who is dying. Listen to and exhaust his dialogue then pick up the tape he hands to you. On the Outpost Chapter, after leaving the first building you will come across a house full of Fascist soldiers, in order to get this trophy you must make your way all up to the roof of the house, you will see a small shack where you can insert the tape in a console to broadcast the message. In the “Defense” level, you will come across a dying soldier after a short fight against some Nosalis mutants. Approach the soldier and listen to his dialogue. After he finishes talking, make sure you grab the cassette tape in his hand or else you cannot get the achievement!

Now once you reach the “Outpost” level, you will have to do a little exploration in order to reach a broadcasting console on top of a large, ruined building. This is where you will use the cassette tape. Please utilize the video guide below in order to locate the broadcasting console.

Para completar essa conquista, primeiro é necessário coletar uma fita k-7 após defender Hole Station no nível DEFENSE das hordas de mutantes. Durante a evacuação, Komarov entregará a fita para o jogador. Com a fita em mãos, é preciso levá-la até o topo de um prédio localizado no nível OUTPOST. Para chegar ao topo do prédio facilmente, saia pelo muro quebrado à esquerda, suba pela escavadeira até alcançar a escada na lateral da construção. Ao chegar ao topo, tome cuidado com o Demon. Insira a fita no gravador, localizado em uma cabana improvisada a sua direita.

How to get the trophy:
  • Level " Paveletskaya "
    After defending the station from mutants, the wounded commander Maxim Komarov will ask you to put the Children of the Underground audio cassette into the radio transmitter at the station on the surface. Let's take the cassette.
  • Level " Outpost "
    On the roof of the Reich outpost (which you will have to go through in any case) there will be a bottle with a radio receiver. We put the cassette there. The insert is accompanied by a mini-cutscene.
  • Advice
    You can climb to the desired part of the roof immediately via the fire escape, which is located by the excavator, to the left of the building.
