This is for getting the so-called "bad" ending. You can get both endings at the same time by working toward this:
Metro 2033 ReduxEnlightenedThe Enlightened achievement in Metro 2033 Redux worth 128 pointsFind the truth.

Once the game has finished and you go back to the main menu, press Continue. Then, in order to get this achievement instead:

Seriously? The whole point of the other ending is to let it happen. Maybe they patched it?

If you reload Tower, it might work, but it'll probably take into consideration that you haven't gotten the points.

Since you're running through Survivor, I'd just do it that way.

Worked on Survivor, got 1000G

For some reason it just didn't pop on the reload, luckily I had another playthrough anyway :)

First run through of this ending didn’t give me the achievement after doing enlightened. Replayed it again letting the rockets fire once more and got the achievement.

Rather than going intentionally out of your way to be 'evil' throughout the game, just go for Enlightened first. Get a majority of the moral points (the exact number isn't known for certain, so best to get as many as you can), and if you don't get the Enlightened ending you'll get this one. If you do get Enlightened, just click 'continue' when it gets back to the main menu. Once you finish the vision again and are looking at the Dark One and the target locator, just shoot the Dark One instead of the target locator to instantly become 'evil' and unlock this achievement.

I elected to record a full playthrough getting nearly every possible Moral Point in the game, as well as locating all Diary Pages and pointing out various other achievements along the way. It's a long video, but if you'd like a good way to follow along as you go to knock a lot of things out, including these pesky Moral Points and Diary Pages, check out the video below. It demonstrates using the 'instant evil' method to turn the Enlightened ending into the bad ending by shooting the Dark One starting at 1:54:49 mark.

For this trophy you want to do this opposite of Enlightened and obtain the Ranger ending by destroying the Dark ones with the missile strike at the end of the game. This ending is not missable as you can get this ending regardless of the amount of morale points you have obtained throughout the game. You can even load the Tower chapter, leave the targeting system alone and destroy the Dark Ones to get this trophy right after you have finished the game for Enlightened.

Whichever method you decide to use, you will unlock the trophy.

This achievement is obtained for destroying the Dark Ones at the end of the Campaign. If you did not obtain enough Moral Points for the "Enlightened" ending, the "Ranger" ending will automatically occur. On the hand other hand, if you did earn enough Moral Points but deliberately - as you should - decide not to shoot the guidance system, the "Ranger" ending will be shown instead.

This ending technically is not missable due to the reason that it is not dependent on Moral Points whatsoever. You simply reload the "Tower" level via Chapter Select on either playthrough, reach the end, and choose not to destroy the guidance system.

With that said, this is considered the canonical ending to the Campaign. With the Dark Ones destroyed, the game will end with Arytom's monologue revealing conviction in the destruction of their kind, claiming the deed was out of the love for his fellow man even though there exists doubt for his actions.

In order to obtain this Trophy, you need to complete the game getting the 'Bad' ending.

Throughout the game, there are opportunities to earn morality points towards the Enlightened Trophy. Things such as listening to the struggles of the people in the Metro, donating bullets, finding music etc. You could simply choose to avoid these opportunities as you play through the game.

When you come to the end of the game after deploying the Targeting satellite, the Dark Ones force you into a vision. When you are given the revolver make sure you shoot the Dark One advancing towards you.

When the cutscene plays of missiles launching from the surface the Trophy will unlock.

It doesn't matter which mode you start the game in ( Survival or Spartan ) - two endings can be obtained in any of these modes. Here are my comments:
  • He calmly played for his own pleasure, did not rely on anything, where he could kill, he killed, where he could pass unnoticed, he passed by.
  • At the end of the game, I first shot at the missile guidance device - they immediately gave Enlightened / Enlightened
  • I immediately went to the menu and loaded the last checkpoint, just stood there without moving, the missiles reached the target, fell out If it's hostile, you kill it. / Enemies must be exterminated.
  • It remains to complete the game in "Survival" mode
