How to unlock the Eternal Voyage achievement in Metro Exodus - Definitive Guide

This is obtained for meeting the requirements for the bad ending of the game.

This will unlock at the end of your play through - at the start of the credits.

To get the bad ending you must finish the game with bad Kama by doing the following:

Kill the cult members in The VOLGA.

Kill the slaves and don’t set them free in The CASPIAN.

Kill as many of the students in The TAIGR as you can.

Also, killing any surrendering humans will result in bad Kama as well.

I just want to add that you can actually set the captured Cult members free on the Volga level in order to acquire the Key for the Night Vision Goggles, just make sure you kill all three of them right after you get the key. And by killing all the cult members at the end of the level (during the sermon), you will have more than enough bad karma for Volga.

I don’t think so. It’s an achievement that runs over the course of your actions throughout the game.

So far I've only got 1 out of 3 of the companions. I was trying to get them all in one playthrough but apparently 'i'm evil' or something. I'll report back later to let y'all know which ending I get as my first playthrough is on Ranger hardcore.

Payne be careful because doing a mix will get you neither good or bad ending thus resulting in three play throughs, found out the hard way - didn’t get the full crew on my first play through but didn’t get mega evil ending either so I’m missing two😩😩

the ending on a mix will actually depend on how many there are still there.
3 - good ending
2 - good ending
1 - Unknown to me (guessing bad ending)

I unlocked this achievement by saving one of the three (Duke), so there is some room for error with this.

Yes, 0-1 is bad ending, 2-3 is good ending.

also you don't even have to get negative karma but can passively not earn any, so just rush the level and don't do secondary objective, and kill people in the volga level for guarenteed bad ending.

So I am normally a "good guy" by default. I have to say having to play as a bad guy was a lot of fun!

In this video guide I will be showing you the bad ending which is saved Anna by paying the ultimate price. The video will be showing you what the ending looks like, also you need to have two of the three not come back. Either Duke, Damir, or Alyosha have to be left behind to get the achievement. One easy way to ensure you get it is basically kill the innocent people they tell you not to and bad stuff will happen.

I got this through some random glitch after completing with the good ending. What you want to do is start a new game on New Game+ and select Iron Mode. As the game starts with the opening cutscene, quit the game by dashboarding and quit game. Restart the game and go to chapters. You should have only the options for Introduction, Moscow and Finale. Click on Finale and watch the cutscene to the end. The achievement popped for me at the gun salute.

Now, I can't guarantee this works for everyone and could be patched. Let me know if there's a way to improve on the solution.

This worked for me as well! Thanks for posting this. It should honestly be higher voted. I dreaded going back through the game just to make bad choices and get a shitty ending. This saved a whole lot of time. Thanks man.

I was following the walkthrough and attempting iron man on reader. I died and it put me back at the beginning of the first chapter. I was frustrated so turned the game off. Now it wont load my save and my new game + option is gone. As a last resort I did what you did and it did load the bad ending at finale, despite originally getting the good. So +1 for this solution, since it should be higher up on the solutions. And FWIW, I was able to start new game plus again. So there's that

This is the bad ending, in order to get this you will need to fail 2/3 of the requirements needed for the good ending (see Full Strength). Kill people, slaves, innocents to guarantee this. Bad actions will cause the screen to glow and a sound will play. This lets you know the act was counted as evil. You can also unlock this ending by using the Hardcore exploit.

For bad ending you should save no one or one teammate.
If u save two or three teammates will be a good ending

This is the de facto 'Bad' ending and can be achieved by performing negative actions such as killing civilians and surrendering enemies. You should NOT attempt this on your first playthrough and instead go for the 'Good' ending detailed below.

This ending can be earned using the Ranger Hardcore glitch so see the description for "Hardcore" for details. Otherwise, being as bad of a person as you can and doing the opposite of the requirements for "Duke", "Damir" and "Alyosha" will get you this ending.

It’s not hard to guess the bad ending, the whole game you did whatever you wanted, didn’t take care of your team members, and in the end you die from radiation after getting Anka’s treasured medicine!

To get this ending, forget about stealth and the square button (stunning opponents). Kill EVERYONE, always. Don’t forget slaves, hostages, “children of the forest”, sectarians, the admiral in the “TAIGA” chapter and the catfish in the “Volga” chapter.
You can find and give away items for your own.

You get this achievement at the end of the game, for this you must lose 3 crew members.

I recommend playing this ending on hard! Combining the heavy achievement with difficulty if you haven’t received it.
Here you can kill a lot and only follow the plot, not perform side effects with stealth, saving someone, etc.

Losing two is enough. I only had Alyosha left and he died anyway.
