How to unlock the Alyosha achievement in Metro Exodus - Definitive Guide

Going for the Forest Child Achievement should get you this Achievement as well

Alyosha's fate is connected with our attitude towards the locals. Avoid killing the enemies - spend the majority of the chapter on sneaking past human enemies. Going through settlements during the night is a good idea. Luckily for you, the majority of the enemies are carrying a crossbow - you will have plenty of time to run towards the opponents and stun them. If you come across prisoners, always rescue them. Thanks to that, Olga will appear at the end of the chapter - he will let you and Alyosha go in peace. You will also unlock the Alyosha achievement.

Otherwise, Alyosha will end up in a wheelchair.

I just finished the Taiga level and Alyosha didnt end up in a wheelchair as you say and i didnt see him get wounded at any point i thought it might have happened during the final bear fight but he still didnt end up in a wheel chair. was it because i had to kill a couple of the pirates?

He only ends up in the wheelchair if he got wounded...in this case you don’t want him ending up in it...if you didn’t get the achievement then it could possibly be bugged

If you're going for Forest Child (pure stealth, no kills or KOs) and untie the bandit at the very start (an optional area very close to the start with some wolves around, BEFORE the statue, require for decommunization) you will get this. Don't worry about freeing anyone else. The key thing is to make sure you get through areas unseen and without killing or knocking them out.

I killed everything and everyone in sight, except most (not all) of those who surrended. I straight up eliminated all pirates. Alyosha was fine and I got the achievement. Don’t know why, but I’ll take it!

First one of the bunch who stayed, a true friend 🤣

@Shish Kaa Bobby: On my Ironman playthrough, I said screw it and killed a lot of people. Imagine my surprise when Alyosha left with Artyom in perfect health. But in hindsight, I know why. The key is not to kill any defenseless/unarmed NPCs, don't kill any surrendering enemies, and (possibly?) don't kill any unaware enemies. Apparently you don't take a moral hit if you only kill Forest Children in self-defense while in open combat.

The coolest moment was during a massive shootout at the Pioneer's HQ. I had killed about half the enemies but was pinned down. Then a woman shouted, berating the other Pioneers that I was only killing those who shot at me. After she finished her speech, the remainder of the enemies (which were a lot), stood down and surrendered. I was able to cross through without issue while punching out everyone for their ammo.

In this video guide I will show you how to complete the TAIGA level without attacking anyone or getting noticed. And while doing this were are also going to get the ending where Alyosha is not wounded. Now basics are no killing anyone stealthy, or by knocking them out, being spotted, and not using the crossbow. Now i would highly recommend doing this at night, doing it on easy, and making use of the quick save a lot in case you get caught. Once you reach the the part where you take a boat through a closed gate you are good to go from there. The achievement will pop once your back on the Aurora.

To unlock this achievement you need to ensure that Alyosha does not get wounded at the end of the Taiga level. The requirements for this are basically the same as for "Forest Child" where you will need to complete the entire level without hurting any human enemies, though you can get spotted by them and this achievement will still unlock, unlike "Forest Child". The best way to approach this is via the same method detailed in "Forest Child", using the quick save feature to your advantage and making small gains in progress before saving, then making more gains, etc., relaoding where you get spotted or make a mistake.

You will know you have achieved this during the final confrontation with Olga when you and Alyosha zipline back to the Aurora when the children of the forest don't attack you during the cutscene.

This can be done via level select, however for it to count towards "Full Strength" it needs to be done during the same full campaign as "Duke" and "Damir".

Warning: This is the last trophy linked to Full Strength and ultimately the good ending. Alyosha must not get injured at the end of TAIGA.

Here is what you must do to ensure Alyosha does not get injured:

Step 1 - If going for the Forest Child trophy you will automatically get the good ending as you will not have engaged anybody during the Chapter.

Step 2 - Don't kill any innocents, some reckon that killing pirates is ok during the mission but that's your call to make. I would just tie it in as mentioned above.

Bad actions will cause your screen to suddenly dim
Good actions will cause your screen to suddenly brighten.

To get the trophy, you need not to kill the “Children of the Forest” (you can stun them), but the bandits can and should be, there you can also save one of the pioneers from torture, it is advisable to extinguish the bear at the first meeting!

What’s strange is that he destroyed the entire last camp in the swamp, not touching only those who surrendered, I thought Alyosha would be wounded (I got the trophy in the last playthrough, and on hardcore they noticed me all the time, so I freaked out and killed them), but no, Alyosha alive and well, remained on the team...The first three camps were bypassed by stealth.

Children of the forest, pirates and pioneers fell in droves. Only the last pirate camp where the boat was needed passed through stealth, jamming everyone. Alyosha is healthy, the trophy has fallen.

Do not touch pirates and pioneers. these are all children of the forest (these are the children of the forest). but you can kill bandits, animals and mutant bears as much as you like. + at the end, when you need to steal the boat, you need to do it quietly. 100% after these actions you will have the trophy

I didn’t kill the bear at the first meeting, I didn’t save the pioneer, I didn’t touch the pirates and pioneers, I just killed a couple of bandits, the trophy fell out

He didn’t kill anyone, but he killed pirates and bandits. The trophy fell out. It’s not clear what and how, but you can kill the undead

I recommend combining it not only with the “child of the forest”, but also with the owner of the taiga. Since at the first meeting a bear can be extinguished

You don’t have to save the pioneer, it will be enough just not to kill the pioneers and pirates, I recommend combining it with the “Child of the Forest” trophy.

Taiga level. Killed everyone, no stealth, saved the pioneer, killed the bear at the first meeting. Alyosha is a living trophy given

To receive the Alyosha trophy you must:
-Do not kill the "Children of the Forest" on the Taiga level.
-Go through the camps secretly with these children of the forest (there are 3 of them in total).
-You can save a pioneer captured by bandits, or you can leave him and pass by. You'll still get the trophy.
-Animals can be killed.
-Don't kill the admiral.
