How to unlock the Brakeman achievement in Metro Exodus - Definitive Guide

As you approach the end of the Moscow level, you will board an enemy train, During this section, you must detach two train cars from each other in order to unlock the achievement. You can find the red lever next to the door between cars.

At the end of this level is a train to train section. For the achievement you have to detach the two train cars.

I believe you can only disconnect the 2nd train if you don't alert the enemies since it wouldn't let me disconnect the 2nd train after I was spotted and killed the enemies.

On the right side of the 2nd train there is a ledge that can be used to avoid the enemies.

Once I replayed the chapter and stealthed my way through both train cars, the release levers functioned properly.

This achievement can be unlocked towards the end of the Moscow level when you are tasked with destroying the train that is pursuing you. As you transition between the train cars, before entering the door that takes you to the next car, you can activate a switch that will release the car you came from. There are only two that you need to release and they must be done before entering the door to the next car. Look down and to the left of the door to see a prompt to release the car. The achievement will unlock after releasing the second car.

Attention - Although not missable, you will have to use Chapter Select and replay a fair chunk of it to get to this stage.

I also recommend remaining hidden during this trophy because once I was seen, I couldn't detach the second carriage so had to replay the entire chapter.

At the very end of Moscow, you will come under fire by another train. As part of the story you will jump across to the opposite one. Sneak past the enemies and before you go through the doors into the next carriage look left and you can pull a lever instead of opening the door. Do this to both carriages for the trophy to pop.

The trophy is easy to miss.
You'll have to replay the entire level until the train.
It is performed in the MOSCOW location at the very end, when we jump onto a nearby train. In total, you need to unhook 2 cars. In the area of ​​the coupling we find a red poster “Do not crawl under the cars”; under it there will be a red lever for uncoupling the cars.

If you entered the next carriage (it happens that you use a door instead of a lever), then returned and uncoupled the carriages, you will not receive a trophy. We'll have to replay it.

At the very end of the MOSCOW level when Artyom jumps onto the enemy train. After moving from the first car, on the platform, standing towards the entrance to the second car. On the left there will be a red poster with the inscription “Climbing under the carriages is prohibited”, approach it, press it, unhook it. We do the same before entering the third car. In total, you need to unhook two cars.
