Metro: Last Light Redux

Within Metro: Last Light Redux, Spartan Mode and Survival Mode attempt to alter the game slightly, providing distinct gameplay modifications that both satisfy an action-oriented approach to combat and a more tense survival adventure. When starting a new game, you will be required to choose which mode you want to play. Take note that neither of these modes dramatically effect the behavior or intelligence of the AI; such modifications are reserved to the base difficulty settings (Normal, Hardcore, Ranger, Ranger Hardcore).

In Spartan Mode, ammo, filters and other resources are more plentiful. In addition, the combat and stealth experiences are more action-oriented. On the other hand, Survival Mode drastically limits the amount of resources available and offers deadlier combat and more challenging stealth. This encourages level exploration and wise conservation of ammo and equipment. Overall, neither of these modes will prove to be too difficult so long as you play the game on Normal.
