It didn't help me at all, it cost me a third playthrough. I should have stuck with the x360a version. I'm not being a a douche. There's something that is wrong with your guide & I simply pointed that out to you. I'm sure the video one is great but I don't like video guides so I went with the text & it screwed me. If you fix it or remove it I'll gladly give you an up vote. I appreciate anyone who writes solutions as long as its 100% accurate.

Hey there,i have a question my game froze on the chapter BANDITS.Every time i reload i'm in that exact frozen position. So i went to my memory and deleted that chapter. But the thing is i can't press continue in the main menu anymore i can only replay bandits from chapter select.Do you think this might void the achievement. BTW i'm on my ranger hardcore playtrough as well,man this sucks :/

Could anyone help answer this please? I was wondering if I go and play a certain instrument then reload last checkpoint, will it save that instrument as having been played? Because I know that's the case with diary entries.

Specifically, I'm in the Facility level, trying to do it stealthily for the Invisible Savior achievement, but I'm also going for all collectibles. I managed to go and play the accordion, but I got caught, so I reloaded the checkpoint. I haven't moved on in the game yet, so I was wondering if it will save the fact that I've played that accordion despite having reloaded the checkpoint after doing so.

On "Quarantine" map if you will wait for three guys to complete their conversation to gain a Moral point before playing the guitar you'll loose an opportunity - one of them just grabs it to play himself... So play it ASAP.

I've just played 2nd playthrough (till the dead city end) following the guide - no luck. I've encountered some glitch on Contagion, the third instrument t in the chair was missing, but pushable and when pushed music was played. I played the level again and it was there, finished it and no luck again. Not sure when I'm ready for third playthrough just for this one cheevo.

The video is terrible; it doesn't provide enough lead up to most of the instruments, and the audio didn't provide much insight either. Screen shots would've been just as helpful.

i too had problems with chapter select. i got the one on facility on a previous playthrough but had to restart because i killed the guy on bandits. then i did facility and got the invisible whatever achievement but missed it. went back to get a diary and it worked, but when i went back for the accordian it didn't pop.

A pain in the ass for 10g

I didn't skip ahead or back with chapter select, but because I was doing the run on Ranger, a couple of times I had wrong weapons or not enough med packs. What I did was delete the auto save so that when I restarted it forced a chapter select (in chase, I deleted save too, so I had to redo Khan.) when I finally got to dead city it still worked and musician cheevo popped.

I just finished my playthrough of Ranger hard core and missed the last one in Dead City. Continued on and finished the game, reloading Dead City after and it popped as i touched the Piano. It seems like chapter select does work, but maybe only if you finish the run through your doing at the time and come back later on. Otherwise Great video guide!

Xeno I think that was perhaps because it was the last one for you. For instance I went back because I missed the note about the 4th instrument in Bolshoi, upon touching the instrument nothing happened. I'd have to continue on and replay those other instruments adding to my now correct sum of instruments.

Perhaps, i guess it's a bit tricky as it was the last collectable to grab in the game. Not sure if we'll ever know

I can confirm that chapter select DOES work, as long as you don't skip chapters at least (this was the case in the first game as well).

After my first pt to unlock redemption/shadow ranger I was still missing this achievement (I had missed one instrument during Bolshoi), besides a bunch of miscellaneous stuff (kills, hidden stashes in the swamp levels etc.).

I selected sparta - and right before that I even played the short prologue once again just to be safe - and played ALL the chapters up until dead city, playing once again every instrument in the correct order (i.e. as they appeared).

The achievement popped as soon as I played the piano in "Dead City".

I get to play the game a third time (just for this version) because of the Ranger Mode DLC anyway, I'll get this on that run. Already screwed up and missed a guitar on Contagion. tbf, it gave me a crap checkpoint
