Great solution as I didn't get it for either accidentally killing someone and then restarting from checkpoint, or restarting a chapter after getting suck at a checkpoint.

Either way, I really wouldn't suggest killing everyone since that hurts you for the redemption ending no?

All stats are writing in Preferences ! So if you will 0 moral points only bad ending will work.

Slight alteration to that great solution I found by accident, I transferred the preferences file to the cloud it synced to the game and when I replayed the chapter it kept my moral points and diary pages and got me the achievement. I had the points and kept the good ending, May have been a glitch, may work for everyone.

The only down side to all this is that I wish I had read the comments above first, before deleting the preferences as it's deleted all my diaries and I only had 2 left to get! Bollocks! facepalm

Could I suggest you maybe point this out on your guide just for those who forget the comments might have some good advice? wink

Incredibly helpful, I did this the moment I finished a playthrough and then just selected continue from the main menu instead of chapter selecting D6.
I loaded right after I had killed the flamethrower so all I had to do was watch the cutscene and it popped fine!

I figured I would try to make a guide for this, I am pretty sure I have nailed down what has to be done to obtain this achievement. There are people that claim that they killed people during Bandits, The Chase, and Red Square and still obtained the achievement. I really do not know how they did it, but it did not work for me. I ended up getting this achievement on my 4th play through after doing tests on play through 2 and 3. On play through 2, I killed people during the Chase and the achievement did not unlock. On play through 3, I killed people during Red Square and the achievement did not unlock. I will put notes of important parts in the game that you must accomplish to obtain this achievement. Hopefully a video guide will be put up soon, but I myself do not have the equipment. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KILL ANYONE UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME

Bandits: The first issue that people have seems to come in on the level "Bandits". Once you get passed the stranded people, there is a large group of enemies that you must take out to untie a hostage. Right before you get to the hostage, there is an enemy that is on a rail car. If this enemy stands up, you CAN NOT knock him out. He must be sitting down for the prompt to come up. If you walk up to the left side of the rail car, the prompt will come up when you are close enough. If you are at a point where he will not sit back down due to being startled, restart the checkpoint and pray that he is sitting. If not, sorry to say you are out of luck. The good news is that you can exit to main menu and start the chapter over again! I tested this myself and still ended up getting the achievement in the end. The rest of the level is straight forward, knock people out, then crash through the trap.

The Chase: This section can be VERY tricky if you are not stocked on health items. I would highly recommend starting this section with 5 medkits. You must not kill anyone, even though Khan tells you to fire on the enemies in the other cars and on the train. If you do not have sufficient healing items, *On the Khan level, there are 4 medkits in the blue lockers immediately before you get in the car with Khan. Better than going back far to previous levels to stock up.* thanks to x Fever and Sashamorning for the tips!
During the chase use medkits sparingly. By the time you are side by side with the train, you should still have at least 2 left. When you get to the jump to the train, you will be very low on health; the enemies here are a piece of cake to knock out.

Red Square: This is probably the most challenging section in this game for Shadow Ranger. First I will say, DO NOT SHOOT THE SNIPERS!! After a little while in the fight, Pavel will send out enemies from the windows on the side, you need to knock these enemies out quickly. They will rush you and make your life a nightmare, even if you are playing on easy. This part is challenging due to very minimum hiding and snipers everywhere. After you quickly knock those enemies out, you will notice that the snipers all have green laser sights. In fact, there is one sniper that has a red laser sight, this is Pavel. If you shoot him, it will not kill him, thus not counting against you. If you manage to shoot him twice, he will then open the gate; thus allowing you to enter up to him (watch out as more enemies come out at this point). When you finally get to Pavel, you MUST walk up to him and take him off the wall of arms. If you do not get him off of it, he will die, thus negating the achievement. It is a simple enough level once you get the hang of it.

D6: This is the section that I have seen some pretty big debate about. Once the enemies start coming in, hide in a corner and do not move lol. Your comrades will take out everyone for you. When the tank comes, destroy it as usual. Watch out for the enemies in front of the tank, they can get in the way of the shots headed towards the wheels. When you move up to the last platform, hide again until your comrades kill all of the random enemies. When the flamethrower and riot shield enemies come out, now is the time to strike. I recommend using the sniper rifle, but it really does not matter. Once you blow up the flamer, you are set. If you have not killed anyone else in the entire game, the achievement will unlock after whatever in-game scene you get. When the prerendered cut scene starts, it should unlock.

I apologize for the length of this guide, but there is a lot of information I wanted to get out there for what worked for me and others. Again, I do not understand how people got the achievement after killing people during some certain levels. If there is another part of the game you would like me to explain, I will happily add it to the guide. Good Luck!

So far in my playthrough, just finished Bandits, there haven't really been any forced combat situations where you must kill, the only thing im killing are the mutants obviously, hate to know that later there are large forced fights where you even have to kill any humans, but i guess the tank you have no choice but to take it out?

Dishonored did it really well (sort of) with the stealth/combat, you can play the final levels using stealth but you don't get an awesome showdown with the boss, should of been the same way here since its a no kills playthrough.

yeah, the tank you must take out. I tested waiting around for about 5 minutes and nothing would happen. So I had to do it.

Agreed on Dishonored, I really liked how there were different ways to kill enemies, without actually being direct about it.

Is this difficulty based? I'm on hardcore ranger mode at the bit with the train and I can not continue unless I shoot a guy on an mg, im kinda hoping that it allows kills in harder places on harder difficulties

By Corruption 19 on 19 May 2013 20:41
I only tried on normal and easy, and it seemed the same for scenarios; so I dont think difficulty affects this achievement at all. Also, FYI if you already didnt know, the Ranger mode achievements are glitched at the moment and will not unlock for anyone. Unless you really want the challenge, there is no point to play it on Ranger mode just yet.

as long as you dont kill any humans before you restart a chapter you are fine. From what I could gather in my playthroughs, restarting a chapter reverts your inventory to what you had at that time...but keeps stats such as kills. So just dont kill anyone, and everything should be fine if you have problems in a human based level.

I also had a problem at that section, but my game just froze multiple times after I killed a few of the watchmen. Had to restart my xbox around 4 times before it would continue lol

It's a fantastic tip... but somewhat incorrect. The medikits are right there, but you have to get them in the Khan level at the end. When Chase starts, you're already on the tracks.

I ran into something else... I was doing the game on Ranger (not Hardcore), and after I got the medkits in the Khan level and filled my supply to 5, I somehow started with 3 at the beginning of The Chase. I don't know if it's a glitch or just my own game, but it was impossible to get through the first part without killing enemies on only 3 kits. I even reloaded Khan to get back to 5 again, but it dropped to 3. Glitchy!! So far into the game with no kills...

Bottom line is that I would absolutely not recommend doing this on Ranger. (Red Square was also incredibly hard, but that's because I was low on kits. I finally just took out my gun and went to town...I'd been holding back because I was also working on Redemption.)

ummm..i have no clue why it would do that. That is the first time I have heard of something like that happening. But yeah, not really a point to do it on Ranger(especially since the achievements are still glitched for it).

Can someone help me. I went through the game knocking people out so I only killed the tank and flame guy on the last level. I did all of the good stuff take of my mask, give the teaddy , help the bear , spear lives, ect... And i had to restart the chase on chapter select because I ran out of med packs. And I got the bad ending and shadow ranger and the good ending achievement didn't pop WTF what did I do wrong.

I dont exactly remember, but I did more than just the good deeds. If you listen to conversations, you also get white flashes. Also, optional stuff like saving the girl who is about to be raped on bandits, and the woman and children. Sorry I cant be more help, you could probably get more info if you ask on the "Redemption" achievement solution

The only thing I can think of is that you might have accidentally shot someone in front of the tank when trying to blow it up. Maybe you shot one of the snipers in red square? The method of killing nobody until the end has worked for everybody that I have told and heard back from, so I would assume you accidentally killed someone at a different point in the game. Before you restarted chapters, did you kill anyone?

I didn't kill anyone I knocked them out I didn't kill any sniper I never shot then at all. And I reloaded the last mission twice and im sure i didn't kill anyone in front of it and still the same the only thing I kill was the tank and flamethrower. Maybe it's some think to do with me restarting the chase but I'm not sure .I never wills or shot anyone on the chase in the carts too

If you use chapter select, it will still count your kills. I would just be safe and start completely new

I am unfortunately unable to upvote your solution, as I do not own Metro: Last Light for the Xbox 360. I do, however, own the game for the PC. After four playthroughs, three of which have been partially or completely focused on obtaining this achievement, I feel compelled to let you know that it was in following your guide that I finally accomplished that goal. Even the "official 4A developer/tester information" steered me wrong, but your guide got me there!

Thank you for your help, Dr Scruffleton! smile

Nothing about the cheev is difficulty based, but I can say that you will probably not make it past the chase on Hardcore because of the damage enemies do.

"The good news is that you can exit to main menu and start the chapter over again! I tested this myself and still ended up getting the achievement in the end."

You're right, that is good news...

Trying my 2nd attempt for this (3rd playthrough total) and Pavel decided to get stuck near the end of ECHOES. After killing a pack of Watchmen, he just stands at a corner telling me the entrance to the Theatre is close and that we need to keep moving. But he seemed disinterested in actually moving at all, so I had to restart the chapter.

Someone told me earlier that doing so would void the achievement, so I was worried I'd have to start the game again. Thanks for verifying that I don't have to...

I am posting this for posterity, but the information below is from a 4A games tester and was reposted on the Metro: Last Light forums here: http://www.lastlightforum.com/showthread.php?t=5478

1. All NPCs on the levels Chase, Red Square, and D6 do not count towards Shadow Ranger. In other words, you can deal with all the enemies on these levels in anyway you want.
2. Killing an enemy with a silent knife takedown fails the achievement.
3. Killing any human outside the levels mentioned above even once expires the achievement and you have to start over with a New Game. Reloading a save or checkpoint does not fix this.

There is a lot of confusion on how to obtain this achievement, so after unlocking it, I thought I would share what I did to unlock it. This is not going to be a start to finish walkthrough, but rather clear up some areas where people seem to be confused. Also there may be other ways to unlock this, but this is exactly what I did, and it unlocked it for me. There are some minor spoilers in here such as names of enemies and such, so be warned if you haven't played the game yet.

First just a few rules to keep in mind

You CAN kill the people in the dream sequence during the prologue.
You DO NOT have to sneak up undetected on an enemy to knock them out.
You CAN loot air filters off knocked out enemies, this will not count as a kill.
Setting off an alarm will NOT void the achievement.
You CANNOT kill the bandit leader who is holding the woman and children hostage.
You CANNOT kill any of the enemies on the chase level.
You CANNOT kill any of the snipers on red square
You CANNOT kill any of the enemies on D6, until the flame thrower and riot shield enemies appear.
!!MOST IMPORTANT!! be very careful around the enemies, one kill will screw this up. You can't load a check point, and replaying the chapter will not fix it. You must start a new game. An accidental kill late in the game means starting fresh, so be very careful unless you want to lose hours of hard work.

Some simple tips

Play the game on easy. On higher difficulties the enemies will notice you easier, and deal more damage. If you are trying to charge through a hail of bullets and knock an enemy out, you really don't want to die to easy. I am not saying this can't be done on a higher difficulty, but why have the frustration.

Try to take a stealthy approach throughout the game. While it is not required for the achievement, remaining undetected will make your life easier. Remember if you do set off an alarm, you can still run up to the enemies and knock them out, but they will be shooting at you, so make you sure you have plenty of med packs. Honestly though if you have played through the game once you can move pretty fast through the levels, and never get noticed.

If you aren't trying to go for the good ending, you can ignore most of the flashpoints, and optional objectives. This will save a lot of time, and for me unlocked the bad ending, making the second play through worth while.

Level tips

Most of the games levels are pretty simple to navigate without killing anyone, but there are a few levels that force you into a gunfight. You might think it is safe to kill these people, but you would be wrong. Here is how to get past them.

-Bandits- Ok these two may seem simple, but there has been some confusion so I thought I would clarify. A few people have said that they cannot knock the guy out who is standing on the hand cart, thus preventing the levels progression. All I can say is knock out everyone else in the area first, then approach from the left side of the cart, and keep hitting X, sometimes the prompt is there, sometimes not but you should knock him out.

*Note, though I haven't had any issues, it seems that when the guy in the cart is standing up is when people cannot knock him out. Mr. XBob has pointed out that if he is standing up, blowing out the lamp will cause him to turn around, afterwards he will sit back down which will make it easy to knock him out.

When you are rescuing the woman and children towards the end of the level, you will bust through the door and the bandit leader will attack you. There will be a short cut scene of you two struggling, and then you will push him back and you will regain control. Do not shoot him, immediately rush him and hit X to knock him out. If you are ignoring optional objectives, just continue down the rails, ignoring this completely, it is not required to complete the level.

-Chase- The chase level is very confusing, as you have enemies shooting at you and no where to hide. But still, the game does not want you to kill anyone. On my first play through, this was the only place I killed anyone and I still didn't unlock it. Here is what you need to do.

Make sure you have five med packs to heal yourself, this is also why I suggest playing on easy as you will take a lot of damage, and I cannot promise you will make it on higher difficulties. When the level starts, you will be side by side with two cars with Reds shooting at you. Duck down, and just wait them out, you will probably use one or two med packs here. After a bit, Khan will shoot at an oncoming car, and it will explode and flip over you. Then another two sets of cars will appear at your side. Again duck down, and be ready with your med packs. After they leave there will be a heavy gunner at the back of the train, he probably won't damage you much, but if he does, use a med pack. You will then be at the side of the train where 4 Reds will be shooting at you. Just stay ducked and be ready with the last of your med packs. After about 30 seconds, Khan will tell you to jump. At this point you will be on the train, just charge the enemies knocking them out with X as you go. Make sure to loot the bodies, as there will be 2 or 3 med packs to grab, which you will probably need. Just keep knocking them out until you reach the Dark One, even the heavy can be taken out this way, so there is no reason to shoot.

-Red Square- Towards the end of Red Square Pavel and some snipers will start attacking you. Again this is not a place you can kill anyone. After Pavel starts talking run back to rear of the area. There is a barricade with quite a few metal plates here. You will be safe for the most part here. When the snipers first come out, the Dark One will spot them for you, just stayed ducked inside for now. The second time he spots them, you will notice four of them have come downstairs. Wait for them behind the barricade, and knock them out as they come around the corner. You may need to use a med pack or two.

Now, another waiting game begins. Pavel will ramble on for a bit about how you should have joined him blah, blah, blah for about 30 seconds, and he will eventually say he is bored and send some men out to get you. At this point charge across the map to where the doors opened. Be careful as the snipers are still in the windows, so have some med packs handy. Now a heavy, and two regular enemies are at the door, knock them out, and chase Pavel up the stairs. It is ok to shoot him here to make him run. When you get upstairs the snipers will be gone, so you only have Pavel to worry about. Keep shooting him till he finally runs off for the last time. When you approach him the Dark One will meld with him, and then he will be suspended on the wall of hands thing. You NEED to save Pavel here, or it will count as a kill. Simply approach him, and you will automatically pull him down.

*Note, some people have said that shooting at Pavel will cause him to send the guys out of the door faster. He can be easily noticed as he is the only one with a red laser, the others are using a green laser. I did not try this, as I did not want to risk a random head shot on a sniper, since he tends to hide near them. But if you feel safe doing this, it will not void anything, as you will not kill him.

D6- The last, and probably easiest part. The level is going to hand you tons of guns and ammo, and all the free customizations you want. Sadly, you only get to kill a few people. During the first wave, hide and let all your team mates kill the enemies, don't worry the Reds won't hop the barricade. After an explosion you will be down on the ground and Ulman will be pulling you Army of Two style, again do not shoot anyone. You will then be behind another barricade, where you guessed it, do not shoot, and let your team mates take them out. After all this a Tank will fire on you. Grab the Preved sniper rifle to the left, here you must make sure you only fire at the tank, do not shoot any of the troops. Take out it's wheels, then the gun, and it will explode. You will then fall back to the final barricade. Resist the temptation to try out the mini gun and again hide and let your team mates take out the Reds. Eventually a man with a flamethrower will appear guarded by a bunch of guys carrying riot shields. At this point go nuts, kill, that is if Artyom can even remember how to use a gun. There is no limit on how many riot shield guys you can kill, but remember, if the flamethrower guy gets to close you lose. Once you kill the Flamethrower guy, the ending sequence will start and you should see the achievement pop with whatever other end game cheevs you were going for (good/bad ending, etc).

I tried to cover everything that I felt and/or read caused people confusion, but if you would like to see another section added, or a current one broken down further, please post in the comments below and I will add to it, or feel free to P.M. me and I will help you out.

Also, if you discovered another way to obtain this other than mine, (places where you could get a kill, letting Pavel die, etc) please let me know, and I will also add that.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope it helped.

Just a tip for the guy on the cart in the Bandits chapter - if he's standing up, blow out the torch on the left side of the cart. He should turn around and look, and once he turns back round he will sit down so you can knock him out.

Deluxnugs, did you kill an enemy on revolution, then replay the chapter? Or just reload it? When I realized I screwed myself on Chase, I tried reloading it and playing over, and still did not get it. I know you can reload a level and still get it, but from my experience and everyone else I have talked to, your first kill means, start over from scratch unless it's allowed. If so, perhaps because you didn't finish the level?

After two failed attempts to get this achievement, I started running through levels and only knocking out the soldiers I had to in order to get to the exit. Thanks for your advice, positive vote from me.

Thanks Marine, that is exactly what I did, bypass objectives and just do a straight speed run, no need to waste time. It actually only took me 6 or 7 hours to do, and got myself the bad ending as well.

I'm doing this achievement while doing Ranger Hard Core Mode so i had no choice but to kill the snipers in the Red Square Level and the ones in the start of the chase level

i hope i can still get it ?
Because the achievement states don't kill humans unless you are forced to. So im thinking since the fired on my first then i have to kill them even if you stated not too. am i right ?

I wish I could tell you yes, but you do not have to kill the snipers on Red Square, or the ones on chase, therefore the achievement will be negated. I will give you credit for the hard work however. The other solution that states you can delete your preferences file might be worth a shot, I haven't tried it myself, but it is worth a shot. If you want to get it legit however, you will have to start over.

Wait....I can't just load a checkpoint? That's BS. I just tried to zoom in to get a better look, but I forgot I had the shotgun equipped, so I fired it at someone farther down a hall, I don't know if I killed him or not though, as I didn't check before restarting the checkpoint.

Guess I'll continue on as normal, and if I end up not getting it, I'll do the trick from the first guide.

Yeah, no check points. Basically, as the first solution states, there is a separate file that keeps track of all the cheevs in game, its why you can load a checkpoint, and keep a collectible for example. Sadly it works the other way around too, keeping you from getting shadow ranger if you kill someone. Its tricky, but at least there is the trick to get around it, just make sure you have all your collectibles before you try that, otherwise you have to recollect them.

Like Crimson i am boned, because i'm also playing it on ranger hardcore, and this is the only part that's a pain in the ass,you can crouch in the cart but you still get hurt, and in ranger hardcore you nead 2 healthkits to get a good amount of health,so i guess i'm gonna do the cheatsy-doodles with the harddrive

By EpiccRoeley on 28 May 2014 18:23
It is very tough if you get to that point without two health kits. Even with everything you need, you still need a bit of luck to make it through.

Thanks for the guide, it really helped out a bunch. I kinda goofed up at D6 though. While shooting the tank, one of the enemy soldiers took a bullet so I reloaded and did that part again. Then right before the flamethrower and riot shield section, I shot another guy with the sniper rifle so I reloaded and did that over too. After both of those accidental kills, I still managed to get the achievement after the final cutscene.

Nice, I am wondering (obviously has been some time since I have done this) but maybe they have now allowed you to reload, instead of screwing you right out the gate, since you can just delete your progress?

Either way, I am glad it helped, and thank you for the kind feedback!

This is not a guide for the achievement its to back up FireFlow PL's guide (which is top rated)

Just now I got the achievement and its still not patched (thank god)headspin

DO NOT DELETE PREFERENCES UNLESS YOU HAVE GOT PUBLISHED BECAUSE IT WILL DELETE ALL DIARY's. Simply move it to a USB stick and continue or collect the achievement for published first

NOW to the level itself which is the very last mission D6. DON'T shoot anything unless its the tanks tracks to destroy it and the 9-10 riot shield guys blocking the flamethrower dude. Once their killed, wait for the cut-scene to end and then it'll pop.

If you don't die during this you get True Spartan achievement also

I got this on my first try while doing a New Game for the Musician, and i even killed some accidental in the D6 Levels (Wanted to do the Gunslinger and then noticed that i was on the wrong Storage and was on my Shadow Ranger Run not the one where i killed all... So i reloaded Checkpoint ... i still got the Achievement ... So the official Rules seems to be valid and D6 does not Count)

I done it on Easy because i wanted to do the Musician quickly, but then realized that i could use the Run also for Shadow Ranger and the good Ending, while i use the other Save on another Storage (Where i killed almost everyone for all the other Achievements) for the Bad Ending and Gunslinger.

I also knocked out everyone on that Run which gave me tons of Ammo and Stuff to sell, i had over 1600 Military Rounds at the end of the Bandit Level... lol

However i never killed anyone, included those Three Levels, because i was not knowing the Rules. And i was afraid i will not get it because of the accidental kills on D6 with the Minigun ... but then it popped.

I don't know how many Hours it took me, but must be over 6 Hours, i rushed trough it in one go, no continues. But this certainly is not needed.

Here are the official Rules for it from 4A-Games:

Kills on Chase, Red Square and D6 levels, does not count, but anywhere else does count. Killing humans anywhere outside these 3 Levels voids the achievement and you will have to start over with New Game.

Once Humans was knocked out, they will not count anymore, no matter what happens to them after they was knocked out (Taking filters, Running over with the rail car, falling down or/and in Fire, Drowning, Shooting knocked out Humans and alike, doesn't count as a kill. Once knocked out, you can do whatever you want with them.

You have to play the entire game from New Game button to ending Cutscene using only "continue". Using Chapter select will void the achievement and can only be fixed if started over with New Game.

this trophy can be rather annoying to get, mainly because there are many situations where it feels like you can't progress past certain human enemies because the level design is badly programmed.

i got this trophy on my first try even though i thought i had failed it. i knocked out a guard near one of the train tracks and i hit him with the trolly you control later in the game and his body twitched and moved, which led me to believe i just killed him.

another instance is where i knocked out a few guards in a room, and the other guards in the adjacent room, spotted me and threw a couple of grenades and killed the guards i had knocked out earlier.

regardless of my fear of not unlocking the trophy at the end of the game, i carried on and i unlocked it to my surprise. so as far as this trophy is concerned, any in-game mechanics that kills guards you've knocked out doesn't void the trophy in any way. as long as you don't kill them with your own weapon.

the last level where you fend off a bunch of soldiers with shields and a flamethrower guy behind them, those do not void the trophy either, so you are free to kill them, preferably with the minigun standing behind the last barricade.

so even though you might think you screwed up this trophy, just carry on anyway, because theres a high chance you didn't mess it up. still, be careful and be cautious going for this trophy, because if you accidently kill any human enemy with your weapon, throwing knifes or knife execution from behind, you have to restart the entire game, choosing new game at the main menu. you can't reload checkpoint, it won't help.

if you need more information, send me a pm on psn or on here.

I can confirm that you can't kill anybody by mistake. I did a "mistake" kill in the chapter "Revolution" and at this time i wasn't aware about that condition.
I reloaded the chapter "Revolution" and got the trophy for no killing or raising an alarm in that chapter. But at the end of the game, no shadow ranger trophy.
I restarted a new game without a kill and got it finally.

This will require an entire play through on its own. This is obviously done much more easily on the Easy difficulty. There are a few points in the game that will require patience as well as cunning. The best option is to use stealth throughout the entire game, and using the  to knockout opponents when you need to. Killing mutants does not void this achievement, so do not worry about killing them.

Red Square
When playing through the game, you will come to the Red Square level where you must face off against Pavel and his crew of snipers. Do not kill any enemies here. The best strategy is to wait near the back of the area where you are protected. After waiting for a bit, Pavel will send the snipers down to take care of you personally. When they reach you, you will have the ability to knock them out. When this group is knocked out, you can proceed to the door, as Pavel will send more guards to take care of you. Knock these guys out, too, and proceed to where Pavel is.

There is only one point in the entire game where you are forced to kill an enemy human. This happens at the end of the game with the Flamethrower. During this point, you are allowed to shoot your opponent. You may use the Minigun to kill the shielded enemies, so killing the Flame Thrower enemy is easier to kill. However, please note that it is possible to kill the Flame Thrower enemy with a sniper rifle. You do not need to kill the shielded enemies.

Just delete file Preferences from your hard drive and replay chapter D6 killing only the flamethrower, and the achievement is yours. 100% verified.

Before deleting this statistics file, I advise you to get all the collection and cumulative achievements or transfer it to a flash drive. Because if you haven't collected all the manuscripts, etc. You will have to start collecting everything again.

In fact, you can only kill the flamethrower and soldiers with shields at the very end. In other cases, you can endure and heal with first aid kits (such as during the train chase and when you were ambushed in Red Square) and stun enemies even when standing face to face with them. During the D6 siege, you can hide behind a high fence and wait until your comrades are all gone they will shoot (and so on all stages). As soon as the flamethrower and soldiers with shields appear, kill them and the achievement is yours.

You can knock out people, but if you accidentally killed them, autosaving will work immediately! and everything must start all over again, that is, with a New Game! In the ending (D-6), you can only kill the large Flamethrower who goes behind the shields. Reloading the checkpoint DOESN'T work! (verified)

“Extreme” cases are plot-driven: a shootout on the ravines during the pursuit of a black man, a shootout on Red Square and, of course, the siege of D6.

The achievement was, as mentioned earlier, 3 coins where you can kill: level Pursuit (battle on the squalls (tried to kill the drivers on the slags themselves, everyone on the train was killed), Red Square (everyone was killed except Pavel, Pavel was saved), D6 (he was killed flamethrower and tank.

Result: the achievement was obtained and the good ending was re-opened.

I completed the game by killing 3 people on a train, during a chase on handcars, 3-4 snipers in the stage where we are chasing Morozov, a tank and a flamethrower. They didn’t give you the achievement, so think about how you can get this achievement.

In general, I want to help everyone who has difficulty opening this damn difficult achievement.
Firstly, all the tips that were left before me are complete nonsense, you can safely delete them. In order to unlock this achievement, you cannot kill ANYONE AT ALL, except for the tank at the end and the flamethrower at (D6).
Well, actually, I’ll try to help you with several difficult moments without killing:
1) The most important thing I want to advise, from personal experience, is not to collect anything from people who were knocked out, some wrote that they only killed the flamethrower, but they never gave the achievement, perhaps due to the fact that they removed the filters from the knocked out people and it counted as death, so you'll already have plenty of ammo, so don't take any chances.
2) The first difficult moment that you will encounter is in the chapter of bandits, a dude sitting in a trolley, which a Red Army soldier must drive away for you, so in order to knock him out you must silently knock out everyone else, so that he does not suspect anything at all and does not stand up , and when he is sitting, approach him from the left side and knock him out, because if he gets up to check the rustling noises, then there is no way to knock him out at all, you can only kill him.
3) Further in the chapter Pursuit, where you have to chase a train with a black one, don’t kill anyone at all, just bend down and grab first aid kits until you jump on the train, and then just run forward and knock everyone out.
4) Even during the battle on Red Square, where snipers are shooting at you, you can’t kill anyone, you just have to first knock out all those who are below, and then sit somewhere and wait until the snipers begin to come down to you one by one, after that as soon as two or three snipers remain, run up to the gate and walk around it until it opens and two dudes come out from there, knocking them out you can fight with Pavel.
5) This is the moment with Pavel, he must survive, in order to spare him you must, as soon as you appear in a place where hundreds of hands are holding him, immediately speed up by pressing the :LS: button, run as fast as you can towards him and remove him from the wall.
PS Well, these are probably all the most difficult moments of the game in terms of getting this achievement. Try not to accidentally kill anyone at the end of the game when killing a tank, otherwise it will be a little disappointing to ruin everything at the end of the game and start over.
